I went three years without a drink.  Went a bit overboard in my early twenties.  Got things sorted out, been getting quite happily smashed for 12 years now. :p

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Glad my heavy drinking happened when I was younger, I've never really felt the need to drink every day/other day/weekend.  Now I just drink for events and matches.  Every once in a while I'll feel the urge to drink a few to just relax but I rarely ever get hammered nowadays.  Ya damn drunks!

I used to be a 10 pint a night man but that was many years ago when I was happy. Since getting married things have changed and over the years I've drink less and less. Still on for a blow-out mind, but can do 7-10 days without a drink.  I topped 20 pints in session twice.... fark... couldn't do it now! :(

Spent a couple of weeks in Saudi many years ago.

Stayed with a Lebanese family in Jeddah, I've never drunk so much whiskey in such a short space of time, but it was almost impossible to get a beer. Apparently volume for volume they prefer to smuggle in a bottle of spirits rather than two cans of lager.

Lebanese fella was a complete nutter, worked for Bin Laden Aviation (I kid you not, but it was twenty years before Osama hit the headlines) he took me sailing on the "creek" absolutely sh'it faced and managed to sink the boat  .

Also offered to "smuggle" me into Mecca dressed as a Haji, but I'd already been up one sh'it creek with him and that was enough.

That is what my old man is doing now... and I just knew today :buttrock  :D

Bin Ladin group is huge in Saudi, they own 90% of the construction projects in Saudi Arabia.

I'm currently in Jeddah, I kind of like its calmness but the driving is crazy!

Well you can say about most Lebanese, crazy and always wasted :D

Does anyone have the same problem as me, I can quite happily drinking beers out of cans, bottles etc and quite a few too without having a hangover the next day, but give me beer out of draught or pumps in the pub and my head is messed up the next day, I was told it's the chemicals they use in the draught larger that causes this which could be true?

its the amount of air you take in with the pint, as the hole is so much bigger. and its the mixture. stick to bottles mate, at least you know whats inside
