Do you mean the footage of Osama watching himself on telly wrapped in blanket.

If so my first thought was wow, two wars, thousands dead, trillions spent, western world shaking in fear handing more freedoms away to governments just so we could nail Papa Smurf

Bam, your posts consistently try to break intelligent discussion down. If you dont want to contribute then dont post but only post if you have something that actually adds to the discussion otherwise you just drag it down as you've done with this thread and my Review of 2010/11 thread. Ta.

I asked a simple question to evolve ''intelligent discussion'' if you can't answer that because you simply don't know what you're on about, then practice what you preach and avoid dragging the discussion down 'further'.

Obvious to me that you don't really know as much as you try to make out. Otherwise you would have answered the question, instead of trying to take the moral high ground as a defense mechanism.

I was being sarcastic

However, Taliban are driven by political reasons, especially that they want to take control of the Afghan region and instill their own rules and government. Also, they tried to expand their influence in Pakistan and to get more people in their side to take control of the region.

As for Al Qaeda, I've said it before, they want a world under Islamic rule, they want an Islamic Caliphate, its their ultimate dream a dream that they will not give up on. The West is a roadblock or an obstacle for achieving this dream, that is why they want to destroy the West. That's what I think, my opinion anyways.

THANK YOU METALHEAD!

What is the Taliban's political ideology and how does it differ from Afghan's now?

And Al Qaeda are trying to Islamify the Western world (this is where we may disagree on) using or justifying there reasons for doing so through the Koran?

Exclusive: Pornography found in bin Laden hideout: officials

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A stash of pornography was found in the hideout of Osama bin Laden by the U.S. commandos who killed him, current and former U.S. officials said on Friday.

The pornography recovered in bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, consists of modern, electronically recorded video and is fairly extensive, according to the officials, who discussed the discovery with Reuters on condition of anonymity.

The officials said they were not yet sure precisely where in the compound the pornography was discovered or who had been viewing it. Specifically, the officials said they did not know if bin Laden himself had acquired or viewed the materials.

Reports from Abbottabad have said that bin Laden's compound was cut off from the Internet or other hard-wired communications networks. It is unclear how compound residents would have acquired the pornography.

But a video released by the Obama administration confiscated from the compound showed bin Laden watching pictures of himself on a TV screen, indicating that the compound was equipped with video playback equipment.

Materials carted away from the compound by the U.S. commandos included digital thumb drives, which U.S. officials believe may have been a principal means by which couriers carried electronic messages to and from the late al Qaeda leader.

Three other U.S. officials familiar with evidence gathered during investigations of other Islamic militants said the discovery of pornography is not uncommon in such cases.
