WTF? Why so little Liverpool players are on that list? Why isnt Kelly on it?

Anyway, isnt Carroll 22 years old?

I ain't gonna complain about some of our lads NOT being on it. Carroll's been in the full international side already and he's getting called up for this. Think Juan Mata is in Spain's as well!

Must admit I never followed him when he played for Newcastle and have had little opportunity to gauge his ability when playing in a red shirt, however on the little I've seen he looks (to me at least) like a bit of a lump. No pace, disappointing movement and a first touch that makes even the likes of Kuyt look like Maradonna.

Sorry lads, I know he's returning from a long lay off so you can slay me when the fella comes good but so far his performances haven't even hinted that even in the long term he's worth the money we paid for him .

you're not alone petal, he looks very cumbersome to me, not sure if I think he's that good really.

I reserve judgement on him until next season and I know hindsight is wonderful thing with Swerve impact and Dirk finding his goalscoring feet in recent times.
However while I also realize politics of Torres transfer was factor,  I still have wonder why we needed to splash out 35 million to get him in January transfer window.

It's impossible to judge, he had a long injury lay off and then got injured again.
He was fine against City wasn't he? Let's wait till next season when we have a better squad.

Maybe Kenny thought there was a chance we could push for 4th this season so we went out and got our main summer target as oppose to just having Suarez. Also someone else might have got him in the summer.

I have a feeling we may get another striker to add to Carroll and Suarez in the summer.

wonder if having ZERO strikers at the club on January 31st led to the decision?

I was thinking similar myself about why we brought him in in January when he was injured.
He hasnt played enough, that's a given.
He has only really had one good game as well.
The only positive for me so far is that the settling in period will have been done and hopefully he can start the season on a high and well settled.

My mind is not made up at all based on what i have seen while he has been here. Having said that i thought in the first half of the season he looked brilliant and was someone i was desperate for us to be looking to bring in so i am still optimistic.

He'd be a great player to throw up front for the last 15 minutes when chasing a game.  But you clearly dont spend 35M for that reason.  Give the kid time, he needs games.

Under Kenny we are much more of a "team".  It used to be all about Torres + Gerrard.  Now the whole team seems to chip in with goals which is nice.

Think it will probably be a good thing for Carroll to be playing in the under-21 championship this summer given the time he has missed this season. Witha bit of luck he will enter pre-season with a full head of steam.

3-0 against Fulham

                   Mereiles
Kuyt                                   Maxi
                   Suarez

You'd think that if Carroll was fit he'd be up top with Suarez on the left, but one of the reasons we're doing so well is the mobility of this front 4 and especially Suarez. These four are making runs all over the place.

I've not watched much of Andy Carroll before he came to us, but he isn't all that mobile is he? Not sure how he fits into this Liverpool 1st team right now. He has got a lot of work to do over summer I think.
