Firstly it's Robert Spencer.

Secondly his critique on Islam is aimed at the extremist element. He himself says that not all aspects of Islam are violent, only jihadism. He believes, like most non-retards, that moderate Muslims exist and practice Islam peacefully.

The koran preaches of killing non-believers, yes people take it to the extreme. But they think they are entitled too it's in the text of the most important book in their history FFS.

If you also further research his ''critique'' he doesn't just critique the extremists, he deconstructs Islam and what it really means. A 10min vid clip won't educate you enough lad.

I didn't even watch the video. I don't need to. Robert Spencer is heavily right wing, he endorses the English Defence League for example, his opinion is a minority view. One I keep away from.

He makes some valid points about the extremist views but if you care to balance an argument and use neutral sources that have no agenda you will see that the Koran is an interpretive book.

Jihadists choose to interpret parts of the book strictly militantly. Whereas most moderate Muslims choose to interpret the Koran as a way of life not a crusade. The bible focuses on the destruction of the wicked. The key is understanding the context of the word "wicked".

Modern Islam has far more of an extremist element but the religion hasn't changed, the interpretation has. Hence why now Afghanistan is probably one of the most dangerous places on earth to be as an unarmed westerner yet in the 70s it was a hospitable tourist destination.

You use the term 'right wing' to slur the man and discredit any facts or opinions he has concerning Islam. The man's family and background is of Turkish decent his family migrated to America because his family was forced to because of their Christian beliefs.
After world war I his family had to either convert to Muslim beliefs or be exiled from Turkey, they chose to exile Turkey because they didn't want to be oppressed by the Muslim belief.

There are many other people who have practiced Islam and have converted to Christianity, ex-terrorists such as Walid Shoebat. Who quotes Muhammed ''there will be many who defect from Islam, kill them wherever you find them'' He (Walid) claims people in the West do not understand Islam at all and dress it up as a peaceful relgion, the bloke used to practice this and I'd take his word or give it more credence than some ''white'' perceiving politically correct no nothing really, like yourself.

The Koran preaches hegemony of Islamic beliefs and mandates violence as a way to coerce elements of Islam. That is to say and disclaim - not all Muslims take this 'perfect book' literally and to extreme measures of Islamic orthodox.

''Prophet'' Muhammed is a warrior who led his people into 77 offensive battles and gloried in the slaying of non-believers.

''Kill the people of the book, kill them wherever you find them''
(people of the book are Jews or Christians, 'until they pay the jizzier')

chapter 9 of the book mandates killing none believers, what don't people understand about the word ''kill''?

Kenny Kan the problem is that all the fundamentalists and people looking for an agenda with Islam misinterpret the Koran. Not only that but kids are taught this way and grow up not knowing any better.
