I AGREE.

Anyway, the result of ANY Liverpool's game, determines my mood

My week is BAD if Liverpool lose, always.

As for determining the mood, Nick Hornby said it best in Fever Pitch, though he of course was speaking about Arsenal

"It gets to the point that I can't remember wether my life is sh*t because Arsenal are sh*t, or Arsenal are sh*t because my life is sh*t"
"The S*n: The paper you wipe your ars.e on and more sh*t comes off the paper"

no vidic, and no ferdinand!

An invitation to start carroll?

if i was king kenny, if carroll feels fit, strong and wants to play, i would start him , rather than use him as a sub.

reason:
i) it would be a lot harder to bring him on after 70 mins as a sub, to try and get into the game, as it will be too intense especialy after a long lay off and risk of another injury, and you're trying to make a debut. especially also if we are behind at all. with yellow cards, fierce tackles, the odd red card and so on. starting as a sub is the wrong decision.

ii) with no rio and vidic, i would start him, he will cause all kinds of havoc, then bring him off after 60/ 70 mins, if it aint happening for him, or if tired/ risk of aggravating the injury at all etc etc.

If i was manager, this would be the worst fixture to  try and ease him into the team from then bench, simply due to the intensity of the match from the fans and game etc.

for me, either start him, or leave him out of squad completely.

my team would roughly be......

                       Reina

  Johnson  Carra   Agger/ Skrtel    Aurelio

    Kuyt        Mereles/Lucas     Cole

                      Gerrard

               Carroll   Suarez

That would be my starting line up, or maybe slightly different if playing 3 centre backs.

2-0 easy. Remember, we don't have to beat Utd, the pressure is all on thm. They have to come and beat us!

You have to be brave to move forward, in such fixtures. any money fergie will start with Berbatov. I have seen himcome here and play 4-3-3. Away! you have to be brave.

yes arsenal did feck it all up today, but. it  ain't over till fergies wife sings! :eyebrow

Joe, the problem with your idea is that Carroll is nowhere near match fit.  If we start him and he has to come off after 30 minutes or is garbage since he hasn't played in a long time, we waste one of our subs very early.  If we keep him on the bench, we have the option of putting him in or not.  If things are going in a way where we can't sub him in, then we don't.  If we can sub him in then we will.

It's just like Suarez's second game against chelski.  Everybody was waiting for him to get subbed on, but after Meireles scored, the way we were playing changed and it just wasn't the right move to bring him on.

Looks like Gerrard is a doubt to start (groin again). Maybe not involved at all.
