he got sent off yesterday

I cannot wait for this game. I love the anticipation of playing them, the old enemy. The fear of losing and the elation in victory. Everything goes out the window, just us, them and the hallowed Anfield turf - cant wait!

I think we have a right chance to be honest. First of all, Vidic is a gonna. Although he is clumbsy at times, there is no denying his talent and can only be a positive that he isnt playing. Secondly, we play them just after the Chelsea loss. Now to start with, I saw this as a negative as it allows them to reignite there title chase, but i believe they may now be doubting themselves.

Come on the red men!

Knowing Pool's style of play nowadays, I'm not optimistic of the Man U game. No Kelly and possibly no Agger, Meireles and Carroll, we'll be lucky to get away with a draw. I can predict Man U will have most of the ball possession as usual like all opponents who had played us.

Carroll's role is to replace Torres as a central striker and if he's not ready, we don't have a first choice central striker. Yes Suarez most likely will start but to me he's more of an attacking midfielder than the Torres kind of player. That's why I believe Torres' departure has thrown a spanner to Liverpool's performance up front. As long as Carroll is not playing, we'll be playing with our 2nd choice strikers.

I don't think I could possibly agree with you less... Try to be a bit more optimistic.

Their best player can't play in vidic... ferdinand is another good player who's out as well.  That leaves a gaping hole in their defense.  Fergie has said wes brown will take over and whether this is true or not, I don't know, but wes brown is horrible.  Suarez is a great striker and he will run right past both of them.

Yes, vidic did get sent off against us a lot, but don't be surprised to see either of their Cb's sent off sunday.

Suarez is a fast little dude that draws a lot of fouls.  Wes brown is slow and clumsy, he could easily make a last defender foul on Suarez.  As seen in the chelski game, smalling is still inexperienced and isn't good at avoiding players trying to draw fouls on him.  Suarez will give him a handful as well.  Neither are quick enough to track back.

As I see it, since neither CB can keep up with Suarez, their outside backs will have to squeeze in a bit to stop that attack, and to clean up for them.  With their outside backs squeezing in, we can play the ball out wide over and over again, just sending in cross after cross or even sneaking in some byline attacks.  If they cover the outside, that just means that the center is vulnerable again.

If we can get Carroll in with 20 minutes to go, he will have a fecking field day with these CBs.  He's way bigger and better in the air, he will probably get fouled a lot because they can't beat him to the ball, and all these crosses will just by chance after chance for him.

manure are mad right now because somehow in their stupid ignorant little minds, they actually believe they were ripped off in the chelski game... If calls go our way at all, and I know that we will be getting some calls because of their clumsy CB's and vulnerability in defense, they are going to lose their cool, they always do.  Rooney loses his cool even when things are going their way, and he does garbage that could get him sent off every other game.  Don't be surprised if he gets sent off.  wes brown is the same way, Scholes is the clumsiest tackler of the decade, nani dives like no other and has a horrible temper and Smalling is inexperienced.

I'm almost expecting one of them to get sent off at this point, if not even more than one.  If somebody else goes before Rooney and he's already on a card, guarantee he go's too.

I know all of this is a crazy amount of speculation, but I honestly believe that we are playing them at a great point in time.  It really will all come down to whether Dowd buys into fergie's bull Sh!te or not.  The fact that fergie is being investigated for slamming refs again, I believe, will make it easier for dowd to call against him because he knows fergie is just b!tching about every little thing right now.

I'm way pumped for this weekends game.  I could see another game like the 4-1 thrashing at OT 2 seasons ago.  Praying to see Carroll get 20 minutes, and if he does I won't be surprised at all if he scores.

I dont think I could disagree with you more  :D

have you been watching us under Kenny - in terms of posession we've been much better, I'd say we usually have more of the ball than our opponents, though we all know its what you do with the ball that counts

I wouldn't say Suarez is an attacking midfielder type either. His record in Holland seems to suggest he's a striker, but I can't say I watched him over there

I think we will do them this weekend, they have no defense and their midfield is pityfull, im really looking forward to this game, just hope our key players dont go missing.

If Carrol comes on, he will wipe the floor with Smalling

I simply don't believe Slur Alex, and I expect Ferdinand to play.  Not bothered really.

We need a good performance, as our last was against Chelsea to be honest.  I don't see Carroll featuring, as aren't there rumours that he is over weight?  Maybe ten minutes at the end......

                 Reina

      Carra  Skrtel   Agger

Johnson                     Aurelio

         Lucas    Gerrard

       Kuyt   Suarez   Maxi

I would expect them to line up 4-4-2, so let's have 3 CBs to deal with Rooney and whoever, and three up top to put pressure on their 2nd string back line.

How do you possibly get a 4-4-2 from setting the players up like that?  ???

I meant that I expect Manure to line up 4-4-2, not us.  :D

I'm just saying that it's going to be available.  Johnson can still get in crosses from the right and Aurelio, if he plays on the let, can cross as well.  Gerrard tends to get out wide at times as well so I wouldn't be surprised to see him pushing out there, especially if that's where the space is.  If you watch the games, you constantly see Gerrard out wide, especially on the right, with the ball looking to get something into the box.  The difference is, there will possibly be one less player to worry about getting in the way.

Also I said byline attacks, which Johnson is good at when he's given space and even tho Kuyt's inconsistent as hell, he's pretty good at them as well.

Also just heard that Evra might be out as well...
