i hope Carroll can make the Man Utd home game.

Shame he and Suarez, have to play with a dross average Midfield, other than Stevie G.

The quicker the summer comes and the exit of Poulsen, Lucas, Mereiles, and replacing with stone-clad quality , with creative flair then the better.

I thank Mereiles for his efforts and goals, but he is out of his depth at LFC, and is not the same quality as Alonso.

I think you are probably the only person on this forum who could possibly think that...

I'm pretty sure everybody has been thrilled with the way Meireles has played, and most think Lucas is a good player to have as well. Isn't it somewhat established that we need to get wingers, a CB and a LB? Our attack and mids seem decently set, albeit some backups in case of injury.

Anyway.... Carroll was basically forced out of NUFC, he didn't want to leave and that's obvious. The fans aren't mad at him, they're mad at ashley. If ashley doesn't invest every penny of that 35 mil in the summer, ashley will probably be assassinated. :devil:

By the way, the rumor about Carroll getting his injury from falling off a bar stool isn't true. He picked up the injury during a warm-down after a match. Think logically anyway... how does falling off a barstool mess up your muscles that bad anyway? He could pick up a bruise and be soar, but it wouldn't feck his muscles up like they are. That was something the media though they could make a nice story of, and plenty have fallen for it.e

I would have liked his debut to come before the manc game. Then he could start the manc game. Then they would have no chance but to let 4 fly past :buttrock

How the hell can you compare Alonso with Mereiles? they are totally different types of player!

Raul has done well over recent weeks and has adjusted to the PL... Alonso had several very average seasons here despite being a huge talent but he is a quarterback type of player - Raul is far more direct and dynamic.

You are entitled to your opinion of course but please, get a grasp of the basics of the game before you post!

Also i hope that not too much pressure is placed on him and we remember that the huge fee is an investment over several years.
