LIVERPOOL VS WIGAN ATHLETIC - 12 february 2011, ko: 15:00

Liverpool Football Club - Games

well that was kinda disappointing. i'm not one for scapegoats or anything, but old dirky really needs to sit out a couple of games. cudos to wigan though, they played some pretty good football at times and in all fairness deserved their point. a shame not to get another win and clean sheet to keep us in with a fighting chance of 4th, but at least we're on a little unbeaten run still.

I'm scratching my head at many of the tactical decisions today.  Why Maxi?  Why take RM off?  Why Skrtel and not Agger?  We sat back and were tentative.

Roy Redux  :(

I just love when the result comes down to the refs poor decisions.  Their offside goal.  The refs refusal to send of Caldwell.. Absolute bull.

agreed andy, dont agree with people saying we were unlucky, Wigan deserved to get a point after we just let them back into the game in the second half.

We would have buckled that game under Roy for sure.

Unbeaten in 6 and decent performances

???

Agger has a knock, Meireles I think took a knock because he went down the tunnel with the physio after he was subbed off.

We lacked a pivot in the midfield between attack and defense in the second half once Miereles went off. He and Kuyt did that well in the first half, especially Kuyt. Wasn't for the lack of trying, though. I can be pleased with the effort, but disappointed with conceding such a dire goal. Still a lot to be positive about and a draw isn't going to put a damper on our fortunes and our spirits.

100% agree with this. It's not excuses, but it certainly doesn't help when our squad is so thin.

I don't really care that they fought back a bit.. Overall I really think we deserved it... Dominated the first half, Second half struggled for 20 minutes than dominated the rest.  We deserved the win, especially considering they were given a goal... Why do the refs seem to affect our team more than anybody else? Well other then helping manure obviously..

Jesus some of you need anti-depressant pilla or something, this is all it takes for you to go ito despare? Still alot of positioves to take from the game although not the best  preformance of late we still played some lovely football at times. Suarez is gonna be a goal machine especially with better players around him. Miereles keep up his golden touch, Aurielo was brilliant today MOTM for me. We keep going till the end and probally created more chances in the last 10 minutes then we did in all the games under Roy. Add Carroll, Gerrard, Agger and afew marquee signings in teh summer to this team and were gonna rip this prem a new arshole. Gutted we couldnt get the 3 points but despite Wigan given us a good game i feel we were very unlucky with thier goal which was offside and Suarez hittig teh woodwork twice.

Its still onwards and upwards YNWA

Disappointing. Anyone know why Mereiles was taken off? We didn't look the same with only one in the midfield...

Dont see much negativity tonight tbh, which is great.

We played well but were unlucky, have had some luck recently and it always evens out.

This result under Roy would have seen this forum going bananas  We have moved on 100% under Kenny and now look able to break down any side, again just need to be a little fresher have some luck and some 1st teamers back in.

Onwards and upwards :D
