Terrible 2H...we lost control of the midfield and the defense was under pressure from the start

Gutted, though Wigan played well. Need to get our finishing boots on.

Suarez should have registered. He was unlucky.

we never had the midfield; practically all game!
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

i'd put it down to

1. lack of steel in the middle of the field.

2. lucas needed a partner, he couldnt do it on his own once raul was taken off.

3. we didnt have a sense of urgency to get that second goal.

4. kenny didnt really have anyone on the bench that he could use to change the face of the game.

jova did well but he could have done better.
-----

on the flip side,

1. suarez's movement was incredible. he is going to be a real asset for the team. i can only imagine a quartet of raul, gerrard, suarez and caroll exchanging passes between them. add the wing play of glen and kelly and i can only imagine the panache that the team could exude.

Yeah, same ethos and work ethic since Kenny took over. Just a bit unlucky not to have scraped it 2-1. Sloppy goal to concede.
