I am not Benitez's biggest fan (no honestly) but the stick he got for paying 20 mil for an injured Aquilani. Then Kenny pays 35 mil for Carroll.
Go figure...

completely different imo.

aquilani had a history of injury problems where as carroll doesnt.

Aquilani made his first league start just a week short of 5 months after we signed him! FIVE MONTHS!! (26 December)

That wont happen with Carroll (more like 5 weeks than 5 months!)

The way Kenny is playing it we won't have any kind of announcement on when Carroll will be fit to play. He will simply appear on the team sheet one day. That is Kenny's way and the way he consistently answers questions from the media only serves to back this up.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him appear in the squad within 3-4 weeks.

I'm more concerned about the manner in which the injury was incurred rather than the injury itself...
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

One of the tabloids said last weekend he would be out for the rest of the season but I doubt it.

Got no idea mate :D maybe it's to keep him running upright or something. Heard he's kicking a ball now too so can't be too long before he is back. In time for the West hame game I reckon.

We bought Carroll just before the Jan. transfer window closed and Carroll left without giving his old club time to find a replacement. That reminds us of one of our hero turned villain ex-player don't you think?

This is the blunt and stark reality of football that we have to live with. Nando is history but no need to slam him for leaving because we're also guilty of buying players at the last minute who did a Torres on their old club. But the Carroll transfer here could be a different scenario because it could be NUFC couldn't resist the money we were offering and so he could have been forced to leave for Lvp.
