Be nice to talk sum footy for a change.

back to football I hope scott.. welcome back btw

Thanks dude, I did pop in for a browse a few times but it seemed to be nmore of the same! Am sure things will improve from here on in, both on the pitch and in this place!

I'm certainly not expecting any miracles from Kenny given the terrible start we've made but it's good to know Liverpool fans can claw back some identity now that the Hodgson debacle is over. I can understand why the owners were deliberating but it's the right decision and obviously the BIG decision needs to be made in the summer when hopefully we can explore ALL possibilities and get the right man in for the long-term future of the club. I'm hoping they give Kenny a bit of money to spend this month, he always had a good eye for a transfer and I don't care hpow long he's been out of management, that's not something you lose.

I actualy think its a master stroke by them Scott , Massive massive game tomorrow , what better way than lifting the fans an the players than bringing our lad back, Brilliant tactics by our owners Imo, and for me it shows that they dont listen to the media love in of Roy, Made up with what they have done so far

Yep, I guess NESV are doing what is right and it took some time and required a lot of patience. Hopefully we do get some players we need to improve, like a striker a winger and a defender. Kenny will be a lift to everyone at the club and the players who are low in confidence too. I also don't expect Miracles, I don't expect us to win every game till the end of the season! I think we will do better than we are now, improve our away record and minimize our losses against teams that we should beat. This is a good step in the right direction for NESV to pick a long term manager who has the ability to take us into a new direction.

Agree with NAN; that place will be Bouncin tomorrow.

why is he taking a new team in with him? the side we have dont have the skill to do that.

The players we have are a lot better than what we have seen this season. Kenny will have the automatic respect of every player, will defend them to the hilt from outsiders, have the respect of nearly all the supporters and is a far better manager than Roy, therefore there will be an improvement in the performance and results.

you cant say that, Torres could not lift his game for god right now.
the english players will play better under him, but i bet there are some players in our club that no nothing of kenny.

got to feel for sammy lee, looks like he is out of the door, Ian Rush is going to take his place.

Watch Torres tomorrow, bet he scores. I can half understand Torres' attitude, playing for a manager that you have no faith in, seeing yet another season pass him by and no chance of cl football next season, it's a huge amount of your football life.

I'm pretty confident that all the players know about Kenny, but more importantly the players, all of them, have no more excuses, the ownership looks stable, the fans are united, and the man at the helm will have the confidence of all the main players.

The equation is simple for me, same players+ better manager= better performance

The team we have is set up to attack - When we've attacked and pressured this season, we've looked good.  When we've sat back(most of the time), we've made players like Javo, Cole, etc. play practically as full backs - I doubt that happens under KD.  He's never set out a side to defend only - the football will be more attractive.

Save it lakes... Really save it...

You will see how the team's performances from now on will improve and all will know without a doubt how bad a manager Roy was...

Having been subjected to so much abuse he really didn't have to, but by saying a few kind words about the club and its supporters he leaves with his dignity still in tact. I never doubted his intentions myself, only his ability to do the job, but it soon became clear that he wasn't the right fit for us...despite having proven to be a capable manager at other times in his career, most notably at Fulham.

My overwhelming feeling on hearing the new was one of relief if I'm honest. It feels fecking great to go into tomorrow's game with Kenny at the helm and just waiting to see what effect his presence will have on the plyers. Having a legend to live and look up to should give the whole place; players, management, staff and fans alike, a huge lift, and even more reason to put in a massive performance.

In the longer-term, we'll see, but if anyone deserves patience through adversity it is Kenny. So, if we don't win tomorrow, if we struggle a bit at times, let's not go OTT in the other direction.

(In conclusion....fecking get in!  :D )

Stop acting like a spoilt little kid daws. Last time I checked there's no forum rules against having ex manager pics in one's sigs. You're the one that can't stomach rafa... So it's kinda your problem isn't it? Besides even if I wanted to change my sig pic I can't... I'm on my iPhone... Duh...
