If Kenny for some reason isn't here beyond this or next season I think Rafa would be first in line. The owners arnt stupid, they will consult Kenny if they both agreed for someone to take over for the long term and who do you all think Kenny is gonna slate Rafa? Far from it.

Just for the record I want Kenny to be given a long term contract. But if that didn't work out id have Rafa back in a heartbeat. He wouldn't be held back by 2 snake owners plus we have a director of football so it wouldn't be like he would be making all the signings.

No there not, so if they got Rafa back I can honestly say I would be surprised.

I dont see anything wrong with what rafa said, could we have got £70 million for Torres? an on form Torres yes, but that is such a one off we did very well to get 50 for him. He wants to manage us again, sure, why not. I will hold the thought of he genuinely does love this club, and everything associated with it.

But to take him back as manager would be madness. The beginning of his reign showed nothing but positives, but towards the end, we went backwards at an alarming speed. We had one plan in the end, and that was to not lose. And this attitude sent us into a spiral. Only Kenny had the charisma to snap us out of it, I cannot think of anyone else who could do so.

Its all irrelevant anyway, Kenny will be here for quite a while.

It was a plain an simple interview ,

He was very respectful and he was spot on too. Kenny was the right man at the right time.

Like I said before, some here have an agenda with him so if you give them red they will see green. Id love to see him back here 1 day just to see all the moaning :censored: on here implode.

Here's a tip Lakes usually if something has been said and then broadcast in any  media sense , or put into any form of writing then it will be somewhere on the internet .....
So here's the thing ....if you copy and paste said quotes into Google it will usually lead you to the piece being discussed  .....if not then its probably been fabricated by the forums Mr annoying

Link ...... please Tommy Pepper  :D

SKYSPORTS

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed the club tried to sign Fernando Torres from Liverpool last summer.

Mancini is a huge fan of the Spain international's services and tried to bring him to Eastlands before the start of the season.

However, Liverpool were not looking to do business and City ended up landing Mario Balotelli from European champions Inter Milan.

Torres recently submitted a transfer request and sealed a record-breaking £50million move to rivals Chelsea on transfer deadline day.

Mancini is not too disappointed at missing out on him as he signed Edin Dzeko from Wolfsburg last month, a player he likens to the Spaniard.

Difficult
"Maybe in the summer we tried but it was difficult," said Mancini of Torres.

"He is a fantastic player. Maybe it was time to change shirts because he wanted to leave.

"He is one of the best strikers in Europe and I am sure he will be fantastic for Chelsea.

"For us, we have bought Dzeko and are happy with him. He is like Torres."

Just out of curiosity Lakes why do you take everything you hear on the newsdesk at bbc to be gospel? They are well known for putting out articles themselves with sources ranging from goal.com to footballfancast. In this instance though they are talking out of their :censored:.

it may shock you to know that all the news in the world happens on the web , there is thing that are very strange,  old but strange, they are called tv and radio. the strange thing about them is that they are live and offten can not be linked to.

yes its a pain that the bbc only pick bits of its day to place on the web and i am sure in time they will have all there staions shows saved on the web so the likes of yourself can have links given to them.

well unlike other news, the bbc take the time to look into the truth, in fact it can be looked into many times before it is reported, why? well as we pay for it they have to make sure it is right. when they do get it wrong they are pulled up on it and that its self makes the news,
the bbc is see as the best news room in the world....yes in america it is still seen as the mother of the news and untill that strange man at sky started to buy up their media and took over the way news was reported ,their tv news would often take bbc reports and re edit them or just use them.

the bbc can still get into a lot more places than other news rooms can.

look up the history of bbc news it is very good, well if you are into the history of media
