Torres's Dad : "I have grave news Son While you were gone  they  burnt down our family home , Your Mother and all your friends and family besides me have been executed ,and practically all of  the Villagers have been scythed down ,and they skewed the family dog ,I managed to run a few down with the car before they managed to destroy all our livestock ....but we are destitute and my wife ,and your Mother is dead  .... What will we do Son" ?

Torres : "Did you say you  scratched my car  " ?

It's worse than that, mate.  He leaves it in there but excuses it and in fact justifies it--as though Torres has the god-given right to win trophies NOW and that Liverpool have let him down by making that a seemingly harder prospect in the last couple of seasons.

I'm sick of this attitude from star players that they deserve to be playing in title winning sides and that transfers can offer a convenient potential fast-track to success when their current employer hits a bit of a rough patch.  Call me old-fashioned but it used to be that top players would see their job as being to roll up their sleeves and help their teams get back in the hunt when they fell on some lean times.  And I'm not even talking about players having some lifelong loyalty to club or anything: just a sense of professionalism to fight for the cause they are paid handsomely to focus on.  Sadly, these days, when the going gets tough most of these primadonna mercinaries get on the blower to their agents to manufacture an escape route.

I would like to add one more thing, hearing from people about football players back in the 70's and 80's, footballers used to play football because they enjoyed playing something they loved, they didn't care which team they played, they didn't care about the money and they didn't care how many trophies they won. What they cared the most is being on that pitch, playing the game they love and for the team. Unfortunately for modern footballers like Judas, Owen, Mascherano and others they only care about themselves and the money. Football for them is making a quick buck and winning something for themselves and not for the team.

sad really :(

I dont have any problem with players getting a good wage as their career span is short and many end up broken down and injured. Trouble is like most things in life the pendulum has swung too far where clubs treated players like cattle to where you have this obscene player power that you have now.

Here hoping Fair play rules push the status little back to the middle but im not holding my breath

Torres: "I never kissed the Liverpool badge. I see some players do that one week after they join a club but the romance in football has gone. It's different now. People come and leave. When you join a club you want to do the best for yourself and for that club. That's all. Some people like to kiss the badge. I only want to score goals, do my job and achieve all the targets the team has. We share the same targets."

would it be wrong to confess I love him and thats why I'm so hateful of him? Everytime I see his face in red I think of goals against Chelsea, Inter, Real and the five finger salute against Man U. He was one of us, an adopted scouser, the one who was supposed to be king and finally ignite the hopes of the title that had eluded us for so long. I still cannot believe he's done this and the fact he hasn't acknowledged us in any way, it's truly heartbreaking for any LFC fan to experience and I hope it never happens again.

I want to say thank you for everything he did but I wouldn't mean it, nor do I think he'd even appreciate it :(

everything he's said has turned out to be absolute c@ck. I can handle his appearances on the field being sh!te and everything but if he never meant to get so involved with us as fans then he should have kept his trap shut from day one. :censored: YOU YOU LITTLE :censored:!!!
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

What is the difference between Heather Mills and Fernando Torres? Ones a one footed, lying deceiving blonde who will do anything for money. The other was married to Sir Paul McCartney
