don't mean to be a buzz kill but the above report is concerning...

And the club forced him to put in a written transfer request? I can't see it dude so I wouldn't be too concerned on that front.

Who knows if that's true, but regardless it does seem like Carroll didn't want to move. I hope he can get over that and learn to love LFC...

thought he put a written transfer request in ?

A lot of money on a striker who is yet the finished article but I am absolutely delighted. From what Ive seen of him this season he has been superb. Big and strong, excellent in the air, two good feet (prefers left if memory serves me right ((no pun intended))), is mobile enough for a player of his size. Yeah we have invested a lot of money but Andy Carroll will only improve as a player. Welcome big man!

The theory is that he was "urged" to put in the transfer request in order to make the move more palatable to fans...

WIll be a great player I feel, but at the same time cant help feeling his carrer will be marred with stupid things he does, ala Joey Barton, Craig Bellamy etc, thats my only worry, if KK can beat that out of him, fine

I think KK will do a better job beating it out of him than Rafa ever could have (with Bellamy for example). Plus, one could argue that a 22-year-old is very far from the point of no return as far as this goes. Hell, I was 22 five years ago and I can say that I've changed dramatically (for the better? who knows!) since then.

To be fair he is very strong in the air and if given space and time, his shot is ferocious... But he is a tad slow to get his shot off and I'm not sure whether he has the instinct that Shearer has...

I really think thats what Kenny sees in him, the same way he saw it in Shearer when he broke the transfer record to take him to Blackburn, granted personality wise the two of them are chalk and cheese but with Kennys guidance Im really starting to come around to the idea that he can be a real player for us.
