I think Carroll will be a great signing.  Not only do I believe he will score at least 15 goals a season, but his physical presence will be the result of many goals by Luis Suarez as well.  Whether he assists them or not isn't important, he will cause problems.

it's a PR stunt. Wouldn't surprise me if Sky supplied the shirt and matches

This was the exactly the type of transfer i was afraid of when we appointed Commoli, this exactly the type of transfer he did at Spurs with Bentley and Bent paying way over the odds for over hyped English talent, i just pray Carroll comes good but i am dubious.

I think Kenny has also had a big say in this, not necessarily in terms of the fee but he obviously likes the player. Reminds me of the Shearer transfer when he was at Rovers.

On the contrary its very smart biz, even taking the inflated Jan fees into consideration.

Torres has at most 2 more top years in English football b/4 he needs to leave for health or whatever else reasons. In his place we get a player who has the talent to be a top, top player, and who can be here the next 8yrs...
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

Yes mate, let's hope so. I like him but I can't get excited about it. Just gutted Ferndando is going. It will be worse than seeing Owen in a manc shirt.

Chelsea will look dangerous with Torres AND Drogba in the same team. When we face them on the 6th or w/e that's gona be a massive game. CAN NOT WAIT

Hope this deal goes through smoothly.

The sale of Torres will fund Suarez and Carroll more or less, so its v.good business.

What a player he is gonna be in Red, Pacey, and v. good in the air.

Welcome Andy, what a capture.

ANDY CARROLL LIVERPOOLS NUMBER 9!

Boy am i chuffed.
