what a day to be at work. :censored:

u know what it smacks of desperation the amount we are paying for Carroll, he's no way worth that amount....but due to Nando being a tw@t i guess it cant be helped.

BUT welcome Carroll! A good player with bag loads of potential...hope he will be here for years to come.

Very happy with the statement put out by NESV with the amount they are spending...shows they mean business...and we can spend with the best of them IF necessary. Wrap up the Adams deal and this is a good day.

They are willing to spend this money so we should be happy. Please, nobody take the fee out on Carroll, he had nothing to do with it. We should be thanking him for coming here and agreeing what seems low wages.

We have been watching Carroll ever since the season started, good player and loads of potential.

I agree with the fee, absolutely insane, but it does show the intent of our new owners and they mean business, so nothing to laugh about, other teams will fear us now

is the fee really 35million? is just f/king silly. its not a prerequisite that we buy a local player right? it's just too steep IMO. he shouldn't cost more then 20millon. Javier Hernandez cost much less then Andy Carroll and has scored the same amount of goals. he is gonna have an uphill battle to justify his worth. good luck Andy.

i am over the moon with the two strikers we have now, good move for Carroll.

if he bangs in 20+ goals we will soon forget that he is to blame why my drink at the ground has cone up 40p lol

maybe some of us are just shocked by the amount spent by NESV on Carroll because we never had the pleasure of spending as big as we're spending today.

there a very good chance he is worth every penny mate.

what deal has he signed then, how long? what wages?

agree that we can't take our frustration out on him but unless he starts banging away 20+ league goals a season then the club are gonna look pretty damn stooopid
