THE OFFICIAL KENNY DALGLISH THREAD - Return of the King

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

That press conference was absolute class. Kenny gave enough away to convince me that, other than the Torres saga, something BIG will happen today.

Andy Carroll?? ???

Love him .. but he's aged in the lat few days ay.. the shock and sleepless nights, trying to work out what to do.. thank gawd he is in charge ay.

And with JWH sanctioning the huge spending spree, we have prayed (dreamed) for , for so long, suggests Kenny is fully trusted and will be here beyond the end of the season :)

This shows that Kenny will be Liverpool manager next season. Has to be after that vote of trust.

"Throughout the history of football people have moved on. But the most important thing that we all must remember is that this football club is much more important and bigger than anybody. We're going to look after ourselves first and foremost. Is that not the same in any business? If someone's going to go you've got to have a replacement." - Kenny Dalglish, a true legend. (taken from his interview this morning)

Bringing professionalism and dignity back to the club at long last, even under such testing circumstances.

One good thing is that the spending confirms that KK is here for the long haul

In my opinion the Jan window is an absolute statement from the owners that Kenny will be appointed full time as manager.

i know this isn't the appropriate thread but Torres' move to chelsea is akin to turning your back on the fans who've supported you through thick and thin and giving them the two fingered salute.

at least (and in fairness too) Hodgson isn't to be blamed for torres' departure. The \spainard was just a brand at this club pulling at the hearts of the faithful and the gullible. \the bloke is an introvert who only looks out for himself. \his performances were nothing short of disgraceful under \\\\roy and no matter how much you don#t rate him as a manager he didn#t deserve the El sulka personna of |Torres while managing this club.

Im glad kenny and the board have got shot of him... El bastardio

We are playing beautiful fluid football and for those who questioned Kenny about not knowing modern football, I hope all the doubt is gone. What a difference a manager can make even with more or less the same player. What impresses me most is Kenny being creative and his ability to adapt to different formation against different team. This is really something very different and everyone had improved under Kenny. Even Skrtel played well. Just hope they can keep it up and can't wait to see what Kenny will do when Carroll is ready. In such a short time, Kenny made all LFC fans believe again and haven't feel that lively and optimistic in a long time. If we continue to improve, Hope the owner will sign Kenny up long term. :)

Its almost "Back To the Future".

Kenny has brought much needed freshness, optimism, passion, heart and smiles back to the club.

The way that we are playing now is pleasing, and the players seem to be enjoying it (freedom to express themselves). He's making them fearless, whereas it was becoming apparent (imo) that under previous regimes, the players seemed scared to pass or take on the opposition, run with the ball.

From what i've seen so far, I can see that Kenny is not afraid to change systems in the course of a match. This tactic is brilliant, as it can confuse the opposition no end.

He's managed to get players moving into different positions when required in the course of a game. I'm sure Lucas, Gerrard and Miereles changed positions thoughtout the game against Stoke (i'm I right ?).

I've seen improvements in all round play in every game.
