RYAN BABEL to join Hoffenheim

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

??? Babel - The Teflon kid, nothing sticks with the lad !

I don't buy the "Benitez messed him up" and "Roy didn't play him in his preferred position - Boll ox!

Good players can play anywhere. The only consistent thing about him is the inability to keep his mouth or Twitter account closed !

I don't buy the "Benitez messed him up" theory, either. He was given his chances and, barring a decent first season, he showed nothing to justify his place in the team. He never had the bottle or frankly enough ability and should have been fecked off years ago. If I had any criticism of Rafa on this one it's that he signed him in the first place and didn't get rid of him quickly enough. These days, no team with any sense is going to match his wages and the longer he stays, the less opportunity we have of salvaging some of the money we paid for him and getting him off the wage bill. Equal to that, I don't hear or see any urgency on his part to get his football career back on track so we may just be stuck with him like we were with Salif Diao - another complete WUM.

He is off!

Ryan Babel has agreed a move to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The Dutch international will fly to Germany tomorrow to finalise the deal.

The move comes six days after Liverpool accepted a bid for the 24 year old striker from the Bundesliga outfit.

I think maybe Kenny has been to see him and told him that he needs to leave as he does not fit into his plans.. only reason for this turnaround..

That and the Suarez deal is dead and we need the money for Adam.

What is goin on behind the scenes, one min hes goin den hes stayin and now he looks like hes goin again

I wonder if Kenny told him that he would'nt be getting any football at all here so it'd be in his best interest to go.

See ya Ryan...............He'll prob turn around tomoro and say he's staying!! :D
