In january window - Where do we strengthen?

Adam also only has 18 months left on his contract.

So I'd offer £6m, and let them stew on it.  If he doesn't go this window his value will be next to nothing in the summer, plus he will be demotivated for the rest of the season having been denied a lucrative move.

Holloway knows Adam will go this window, and he is trying to get as much as he can, which is fair enough.

£6m sounds fair, but if they don't accept an offer quickly, and then do so at the last minute when they realise that is all they can get he will have no time to find a replacement.

I would bet the deal will go through early next week leaving Blackpool about a week to sign someone else, or build a new stand, whichever they prefer :;):

Holloway is class act, he is opening his mouth because he thinks Charlie Adam is a quality player and not worth 3m. I remember Real Madrid bidding 15m for Alonso and we told them to shove it up their :censored: and rightly so.

Nothing wrong with what Holloway is saying

Ya Holloway is just trying to up the value of his own player and quite possibly his confidence.  If he's fighting with the clubs that want him saying he's worth 14 million pounds and they only want to pay 6, Adam may feel he is much more appreciated at Blackpool and decide to stay.  Or if he does go, than Blackpool get more for him.

we offer £6mill, blackpool paid half a mil, he gets all doeyeyed and thinks Blackpool appreciate him more so stays with a little team.... I dont get the logic, its probably just me, I dont get the "karen brady doesnt know the offside" pantomime neither, I've never heard her explain it.

i agree, its frustrating for us but cant see what Holloway is doing wrong trying to look after his own club.
He has said that he wont stand in Adam's way if a top club came in for him and he knows he deserves to be somewhere better. But if it means they lose a key player and cant replace him then what's in it for Blackpool ?
I do think he will end up going for about 6 due to his contract being in the last 18 months though.

I agree completely ...I like Holloway and he is just protecting the club from the vultures who are circling his star players .... however if the rumours have any truth in them I take great comfort in knowing we are one of those very vultures ... Adam is a class act

Doens't matter, the guys had his head turned now. Holloway also has to consider if they go down this season (and it could happen) he won't get anywhere near the money is being offered now.

I had my doubts initially but after watching him again when they beat us at Bloomfield road he was superb again.
Proper footballer he is, and someone who always appears to have time on the ball which is the sign of a classy player.
Holloway has over the last few weeks said some great things about our club the fans and Kenny so he's alright by me.

Wouldn't mind Adam but Blackpool shouldn't sell until the summer.  Someone's probably pointed out that if they stay up the tv money will more than compensate for any hit taken on Adam's value

Would love Suarez would just be a great acquisition. Spurs fans seem to think they have got him already though. ???

I think Adam looks good as well, would be another good player in midfield even though Meireles is starting to hit his stride.

Spurs are said to have put in a bid of 8mil and then we are meant to have offered 10mil, i dont see that myself.

i think 8mil is about the right price after looking at other players prices.
lets face it , if he was playing like that and he was not playing his football in the uk and was not born in the UK we would all me saying he is woth 14mil +
i tink he is going to be a great player.

Just been reading a villa forum, they are all convinced both them and us have had offers of 6.5m accepted for Adam.
...and Holloway wants Adam to join us, but Adam prefers a move to Villa.

I F,u%cking hate villa fans.  i'm surrounded by them at work, and the amount of sh.it ive got off them this last year has sent me to boiling point a few times.

They have been going on about signing Adam for sometime so I'd love it if we signed him and they missed out.
They are also wetting themselves at the prospect of signing Honda...(fingers crossed we get him too)

BTW they are as excited at Warnock leaving as we would be over Konchesky going...
