There is no way in hell we will buy any player off that list apart from Charlie Adam.

Why?

Hazard, Downing, Young, Gervinho and Suarez are all ridiculous targets in a hyper inflated Jan transfer window.

Who would buy the lb and that sylain when on a free in 5 months?

We wo'nt spend anymore than 5 to 6 m on a player I think.

Fair point mate. But i think the board realise we cant afford to wait unil the summer to make major changes. We need to act now.

I thiink Suarez and Adams r the most likely.

I think we will get Warnock, Adams and Suarez before the end of the transfer window.

I have in the past said he looks unfit Adam but he looked great against us the other week, one of those players that picks the right pass most of the time and appears to find time on the ball. Its a great quality to have if you play in midfield in the premiership.

Charlie Adam would be a very good signing if true, especially if we play the 4-3-3 formation

Liverpool Director Of Football Strategy Damien Comolli has dismissed suggestions that the English giants are in crisis this season.

The Reds are currently 13th in the Premier League table, having collected just 26 points from 22 matches, and are just four points above the relegation zone.

Hopes of European qualification are fading fast but Comolli believes that it's not the time to scream crisis at Anfield.

"There is no crisis," Comolli told Canal+Sport, according to Goal.com France. "I see things from the inside, but I do not have that feeling there.

"Yes, there is a problem [of confidence] in the side and we saw that against Wolverhampton. From the moment we conceded a goal, there was not much effort to stage a comeback.

"[Fernando] Torres and [Steven] Gerrard are exactly at the same physical level as they were in the year in which they finished second [2008]."

The Frenchman also spoke about the prospective recruitment of Ajax striker Luis Suarez and Aston Villa attacker Ashley Young.

"We are looking primarily for an offensive player because the team is short on pace. As for Suarez, there was no dialogue with Ajax but he is one of the players we are interested in. Will he be available in January? It's another issue.

"As for Young, if he is available then he will be of interest for us. But I do not think that this is the case."

Will be gutted if after all this we dont actually get in anyone decent. We've put up with false hopes for too long now, need a signing to get excited about the same way we did with Fernando.

And I for one am greatly encouraged that things are going on "Behind the scenes" because that's how it used to be in the old days at Liverpool Football Club.

I am pleased that all and sundry to do with LFC is NOT being laid bare for all to see.

Business at times needs to be transparent and public but when negotiating possible players going or coming or personal details then that's best left private.

In an age where media almost demands as a right every minute detail it is good to know that the media is not getting what it wants.

Walk on...........
