apparently Babel's move to Ajax can still happen...

I believe we are offering Ajax Babel + cash or cash only options for Suarez...

I dont have a problem with sell to buy, IF we are spending more on the incoming player.  We have to get rid of the deadwood and sign better players in some areas.

The thing people hated about T+G, was that we were selling some really good players and replacing them with cheaper, less talented players and the rest was going towards paying off debt.

Fenway don't seem to be stupidly rich so i cant imagine them buying lots of players without selling a couple.  They probably want to get rid of players on crazy wages that contribute little to nothing.

Maybe the club has published the story about Hoffenheim's bid being accepted to get other interested parties bidding and/or tell Ajax that they better act quick, if they want him as any part of a possible Suarez deal? Just speculating during a boring work hour like :D

Anyways it's the right thing to sell Babel now, as he will never become a central player for us, and his contract is due to run out in 18 months (ie he would be worth even less come the summer).

You could say that about half our squad

It seems like Ajax rate him more though.  They have been saying they want more than 20 million pounds and it seemed like they were considering 15 million euros plus Babel.  I would be perfectly happy with that.

Any players from Hoffenheim that could come this way?

On his day is he is a handful, problem is for every day he is good there usually 4 others inbetween where he isn't. All in all it's best he moves on. If the move falls through now again id have to question the lads ambition.

He already changed his location to Europe on his Twitter page and his bio in which he stated he was a Liverpool player :;):

But his bio doesn't say who he plays for now?

Hope he's gone by tomorrow, although he has done a good job of keeping the bench warm for a couple of seasons...thats his main attribute in FIFA.

He actually does a good job for me down the right in FIFA.  "Dumb as a bag of rocks" doesn't matter when you have a controller in your hands LOL.

:D I can't help but just run in a straight line down the wing when I play with him, then cut inside and shoot!  I feel just like him, haha.

Good riddiance even if we didnt bring in any new players id still sell half the squad and replace them with youngsters until the summer. Id much rather see Wilson LB then Konchesky or Aurielo. Wisdom or Ayala at center back then Soto and Skrtel, Suso, Sterling or Pacheco on the pitch instead of Kuyt Maxi Jova or Cole. Atleast theyd show abit of hunger and not cost a fortune in wages every week just to drag us into relegation.

He has been a failure at us but worse players have played for us. The one thing that :censored: me off about him was his off field antics. You can still easily see why some people rate him because of his raw physical ability and would probably do great somewhere like Greece. Have you guys seen what has happened with Cisse over there?=) He has been banging goals in there every game he plays.

Good luck to you but stop wasting your time here. If we can't bring any replacement I say keep him just because we need a "striker".

Another player that Benitez fucked, in reality. Sticking him out on the wing for a few minutes each game? When he's CLEARLY not a winger and never was going to be, no matter how hard Benitez tried to shove the square peg into that round hole.

I think the lad reached a point where he just didn't give a shite any more.

A move away is the best for everyone concerned, most of all Ryan Babel, who'll just rot at this club.
