I dont know a lot about Suarez but he did have a good world cup, however this is not a reason to go paying silly money.......

Realistically we need two more forwards anyway but obviously we will only get one if we are lucky.. I dont know about Suarez, he seems to be a little lightweight to me and dont know if he could cut it in the PL.

Silva has played over 55 mins in 75% of their games this season.  He has only not played in 2 games.  He was injured for both.
Johnson, although he has only played for over 55 mins in 33% of games, he also has only missed 2 games.

Not keen on Suarez, have seen him a few times and he is a dirty player, likes to throw himself on the floor and can be quite wasteful on the ball.
Not any traits that we really need!
He does seem to be able to find the back of the net mind!!

Kind of like C.Ronaldo attitude, but he is a goal scorer. He gets into right positions and a good player to work with Torres.

Suarez is a non starter for me and the kind of player that can give you problems on and off the pitch plus its a lot of money to spend on a player who may not settle or suit the Premiership.

Id try and get an established Premiership forward like Defoe or Van Persie.  A pipe dream I know so maybe we look in the Championship fora foward who can step up and make a difference in this team.

Whats really frustrating is that in Joe Cole we have a wonderfully gifted player who has yet to produce at Liverpool.

I think Suarez is way overrated and I wouldn't like to see us take the gamble at the kind of price being mooted (£18m). People make a great deal of his goalscoring record at Ajax but bear in mind that Dirk Kuyt was like the Alan Shearer of Feyenoord in his time there, while Ryan Babel was blitzing up at Ajax and being touted as the new Henry. I do find it rather odd, too, that those who make that argument are the same people who play down Darren Bent's goalscoring record, despite the Premier League being of a vastly superior standard to the Eredivisie.

Point made then, they have been played just over a single half and in any other team they are match winners who can make something out of nothing.

I want Suarez, (maybe even if its just to show we can attract high profile player) big name striker who was also good in the World Cup.

Agreed on Suarez.  Sends out a message!!!

Bent didnt do so well at Spurs and I just dont see him as a Liverpool player at all and certainly not at that price. If we are not going to take a chance on a players record in foreign league then all we would do is shop in Prem every window or perhaps the Championship. Keane was a disaster for us but a decent top level player at Tottenham. There are plenty doing well here from abroad and no reason why Suarez or another lad couldnt do the same, every signings a gamble.

Downing is never going to be world beater but he is a good all rounder. He can use both feet, decent crosser and gets goals. We desperately need a left winger and he would be a good shout as we can't attract the Robben's of this world. I don't think he is worth £10mil+ though. I would be tempted to offer Aston Villa Joe Cole and £5Mi.

He has a right foot swinger, I wouldnt say he could use both feet in a valuable way, I had an ex from Mboro and had to watch him a fair amount, hes more or less as single footed as they come from what ive seen of him, but in my opinion its good, means he wont be played Right back etc

For some reason I seem to remember him scoring a few goals and putting in some decent crosses with his right foot? Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.
