Our squad is an absolute shambles, and I'm sorry but that is partly down to Rafa plus lack of funds, and KK needs to play the strongest XI until we start winning some games, we also need to start shipping out the deadweight and rather start playing the youngsters, if players don't show desire then they can F off in my opinion and that includes Carra, Stevie and Nando.

Totally agree on the team selection, Kuyts stunk the joint out this season, Skrtel has been woefull and Glo Jo as leftback was not a very good idea either.
I have every faith that Kenny will get the players confidence up and we will go on an unbeaten run within the next few games.

We really need a new CH, two wingers, a forward and a play maker in that midfield, Im not expecting much action in the transfer window though unfortunalty.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

But if people want to play the blame game then Benitez is not blameless. To what degree is questionable, but he is to blame as well.

Dude, my mrs makes a lot of contradictory statements but this one could go right to the top of her hall of fame!

Is not contraditory at all. I said I dont want to, meaning Id rather not. I didnt say I wont.
I dont want to play the blame game, but I will if others say Benitez is blameless.
Its far easier if we move on
Does that clear it up?

Calm down mate! I'm easy, it's was a light hearted comment. I'd just hate to see this place going around in circles again as you can just see the signs of that being the case very soon.

Is there any hope at all of Aqua coming back?  Gerrard an Lucas in CM with Aqua behind Torres would be nice.  Sign a decent winger (either side will do for now) and LB at least and that'd be a start.

We're really short on creative options since Aqua and Yossi left.  And Alonso before them.

Oh arnt you great

You have absolutly slaughtered Rafa absolved Roy, twit & tw@t of any blame just that b@stard devil incarnate's fault Mr Fat Spanish Waiter !!!!

You wanted him out before he even arrived, and I dont change my mind like the wind I went feckin beserk when Roy got the job, and I am still going beserk with the absolute fuck up he made of it. !!!!

Investment in the squad is needed, but I wouldnt have give Roy a tenner never mind ten million to invest in sh!te players not one single signing has worked out, none of them. And now we are stuck with them.

but yet you still put no blame at Rafa feet for building the team 76 players he took to liverpool...look what we was left with. and not many were good buys. 1-6 if that.
the owners should never have given rafa the power, the owners should never have been here in the first place, what has happend to this club has take years to happen, not over night when roy turn up.

you can trace this back to the day kenny left the first time.

Liverpool FC challenge is a tough one, says Kenny Dalglish after Blackpool defeat
Jan 13 2011 by Luke Traynor, Liverpool Echo

LIVERPOOL boss Kenny Dalglish last night admitted he was under no illusions of the size of the task ahead of him after his side slumped to defeat against Blackpool.

The Scot was determined to look for positives despite the Reds falling to their tenth league loss of the season at Bloomfield Road.

Liverpool failed to capitalise on a dream start after Fernando Torres crashed home an opener after just four minutes.

And the Seasiders took advantage of some woeful Reds defending to claim a fully-deserved 2-1 win against Dalglish’s men.

After the game, the 59-year-old conceded he was fully aware of the job in front of him as Liverpool’s pitiful away form continued to haunt them, rewarding Blackpool with their first league double over the Reds since 1947.

Dalglish, who was taking charge of his first league match in 12 years last night, said: “It’s obviously a big challenge.

“Very seldom do you get a job in which you walk into where there’s not a challenge.

“We’ll work in our own way.

“It was very pleasing to see the players’ commitment tonight, and when you consider what they went through on Sunday, playing against Manchester United for an hour with ten men, I think it was great credit to the effort they put in and how well they lasted the game.

“We had some good positives, but the most positive thing will be to pick up some wins.”
Dalglish insisted he was happy with the strength of his squad, and would not be drawn on how active Liverpool will be in this month’s transfer window.

The Anfield legend, who will go head-to-head with Everton’s David Moyes this Sunday in the Merseyside Derby, is also banking on a change of fortune for his side to reward the effort of his players.

He added: “Certainly, the encouraging side for me is the attitude and commitment of the players.

“The harder we try, the luckier we’ll get, so we’ll keep on trying very hard to turn the luck.

“It’s all very well and good being a decent side, but every side that’s ever done anything needs that bit of luck, and maybe that’s just turned against us a wee bit.

“The longer we stick in and the less sorry we feel for ourselves, the best chance we’ll have of correcting it.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do, we’ve got to make sure we get ourselves in the position to get good fortune. It not just luck that’s going to change it, but the intention and desire of players is quite pleasing. The only problem will be if they don’t show the commitment.”

Dalglish knows full well the size of the task in front of him ,and I trust him completely in getting us out of this rut ... starting with 3 points against the Bitterz ........

Agreed.

Is this thread not about the appointment of KK and the future of LFC? Rafa has gone, Roy has gone so why do we not all put that behind us and pull together in support of KK and move on??

i heard that Kenny got all the players into the club today, he did not say a word to them but took them for a walk, he stood under the This Is Anfield and said, "welcome to Liverpool Football Club you are liverpool players" he then walked off and left them there for 10 mins before they were taken off for training.

right theres not much chance of this being true but god i wish it was lol, its was sent in by a "member" of the club to sky.
unless this happend the otherday then i dont think its real.

When our best players (Torres, Gerrard, Reina & Carra aka the spine) are on form the rest of the lads look decent enough to hold their own (most of the time). As we have seen a huge dip in form from Torres which stretches him back to the WC, Gerrard and Carra respectively knocking on a bit, leaving Reina the only one with anything to smile about. The rest of the lads quite clearly can't pick up the slack and carry this burden which ironically is what our better players (Torres, Gerrard, Reina & Carra) do when Kuyt's trapping balls further than I can kick them, breaking down our own attacks, or Lucas the passmaster of sideways passing, or mister Skittle who's got the brains of a chimpanzee and makes rash clumbsy challenges and if he's not doing that he's merely ball watching, or Babel twittering and running down blind alleys, or Maxi becoming a passenger, or Agger and Aurelio in the physio's room.

Said lads are only to happy when the goings good, combined they don't have the confidence or ability more importantly to really change games and drag an out of form Torres or Gerrard through a rough patch. I used to get very defensive when neutrals would say ''Liverpool are a two man team'' refering to Gerrard and Torres but how right they were, through our recent demise my red tinted glasses have fallen off and it's plain to see we are a very average team, who when is low on confidence (last season, this season especially) are pitiful to watch.

Investment was needed two or three years back to keep our side ticking over fighting with the other big boys in the league really. Now the wheels have come off and poor old Kenny is trying to pick up the pieces. We need an overhaul, deadwood shipped out and money (and masses of it) sensibly thrown at the team if we're to get back to where we belong.
