So when does Big Mick come back?  This place is so much more fun when he is around (even though he winds Benny up in knots). Would love to see his views on the current situation.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Or maybe he just wanted to say "see I was right, I told you so". Judging by his four years on the forum, I'd say that was more likely reason.

mick was wrong a lot of times about a lot of things, and he was more often than not more than happy to admit it.

I wasn't meaning to stir shlt by asking about Mick.  I just thought that given the current climate everyone could kiss and make up and start from scratch.

Sorry mate but he had a real problem with Rafa and then lost all balance regarding the subject. He was forever trying to twist things so they fit his agenda and lost all credibility (regardless of what you say about me). When we went on an amazing run a couple of years back he was so convinced we would flop after selling Keane he stopped posting (during the best run we had under Rafa), coming back only when we got knocked out by Chelsea in CL yet still used the Keane saga to critisize Rafa whenever he could. It was more about him being right than the team doing well.

It showed forums for what they were frankly, a bunch of average "Joes" that talked a lot of sh1t (no doubt me included) but if you look deep enough, the truth was there somewhere, normally by those that did not say much (something Mick was never accused of) :D

so what's the big deal anyway? why does it bother you so much that you need to go around threads posting comments about him weeks after he has left the forum? is he the only poster ever to be wrong / convinced / deluded or whatever? by god, you even remember a list of incidents that you take issue with.

i agree that mick was losing the plot and his perspective for a while, but until a bunch of small minded pillocks starting hounding him he was the best football poster on this forum by a mile.

That is fine Andy you are entitled to your opinion but I disagree, I will not lose sleep over it anyway, and I was responding to a recent post. Besides, he is probably still posting anyway so no worries.

I obviously would welcome him back.
He did say before he was banned that he thought a change of manager would be the best thing for all concerned.
Yes he got behind Roy and may have been wrong at times.
But we are all wrong at times and getting behind the manager isnt exactly a bad thing, even though i can see why some were not behind him.
Sabre looks like a big lezzer

Rafa was also our manager and he did more than any to ensure that Liverpool saw better days yet it was ok to not get behind him.

What did Roy do for Liverpool so that he deserved respect where Rafa did not (except for being English of course :glare: ) Oh yeah, and not buying "Carlos Kickball"

mick was 100% behind benitez from the beginning - he even had him as his avatar and sig FFS. but after 3 or 4 years mick thought that benitez wasn't working anymore and that he was actually becoming a hindrance to the club moving forward and achieving more success. many others felt the same way. mick was also realistic enough to believe that hodsgon deserved a chance, and i'm sure he was as unconvinced as everyone after a while. i don't get why its so hard for some people to understand.
