sky and the bbc have been at the club overnight and are still there. i take it that they think its still going to happen today?

heard that john B has said that many of the players also need to take a lot of the blame for the way we are playing and that many of them will be leaving the club if a new manager comes in as they are not up to playing at such a great club.

strange that the club is dragging it out

I have a bad feeling he is staying...

BREAKING NEWS!!!

Hodgson arrives at Liverpool training

Under-pressure Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson arrived at the club’s Melwood training ground this morning to continue preparations for Sunday’s FA Cup tie at Manchester United.

The 63-year-old’s position has become the subject of intense speculation following Wednesday’s 3-1 defeat to Blackburn – their ninth in the Barclays Premier League this season.

However, with heavy snow falling, Hodgson drove into Melwood at 9.40am past a couple of television cameras and photographers.

The gates of the training ground were immediately closed but reopened once Hodgson had walked the short distance from his car to the building, where most of his players were already housed having already arrived earlier.

Hodgson is this afternoon due to give his pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to Old Trafford.

it was posted on other forums last night that after meetings with the players they all backed him and he was staying.
but reports still keep coming in saying we are sacking him, the club needs to say something to clear this mess up.

Do they look like they back him? Do they play for him? The answer is a big fat, the proof is in the pudding, they dont like him or his methods only his buys will like him Konchesky and Poulson, Reina and Torres want to leave because of him !!!

well lets face it cigs, the team have not worked for the last two managers, might be time to start to build a team that like playing for liverpool, for Torres has not acted like he likes being here for about 2 years now.

if they are going to sack him then sack him now so we can start to buils a winning team...as this team is to up to it.

and you can back this up with what exactly?

The feedback in the press is the squad like Roy, they respect him and feel he's the fall guy for the last manger and owners.

that's a FACT.

I can understand that certain media hacks would come out with such garbage because they are so endeared to Roy Hodgson, but it's about as credible as G & H's statement that they would look after the club when they took control....

is a player ever likely to stand up and be quoted saying a manager should be sacked - likely to kill their reputation and label them a troublemaker at the least and not very likely to stay long if the managrt doesnt go

all player discontent will be unsubstantiated leaks

the journos stories are based mostly on 'off the record' comments from the players themselves. Although Gerrard, being Captain, goes on the record too.

It's not about being endeared to anyone, it's about the fact Liverpool FC is in decline and it's easy to blame it all on Roy's time over the last 6 months. I'm not saying he's up to the job, he clearly isn't, but he's a comparatively small mistake in comparison to the catalogue of huge f**k ups over the last few years.

the owners have spoken to key players private and individually. They could easily slag the guy off without him knowing, but they haven't.
