No offence to Lucas but he is a nothing player
I asked, out of the 143 appearances, could anyone name me 5 in which he was outstanding?

Manchester United last season, Chelsea this season, Newcastle when we thrashed them 5-1 (brilliant assist for Gerrard's goal).

My point is that he plays in a tidy professional way and unfortunately against Wolves he did look like our best midfielder. Check out the positioning and workrate of the guy

Agreed, and I don't see anybody saying that the squad is to blame for our performances against Blackpool, Stoke, Wolves, Northampton etc. We should be doing far better than that in spite of the limitations to our squad, but those limitations still do need to be recognised if we're to assemble a title-challenging squad. The reason that causes such a rumpus is because it implies some criticism of the previous manager, but I think we need to get over that barrier and just accept that he made some significant mistakes, without thinking he's being persecuted by agenda-driven so and so's. Then we can move forward.

Players worth keeping IMO

Reina, Johnson, Agger, Aurelio, Gerrard, Maxi, Cole, Meireles, Kuyt, Torres, Carragher. The rest i could really care less about and most should be shown the exit door. Players that need to go a.s.a.p are: Skrtel, Kyriagokos, Jokanovic, Konchesky, Poulsen, Ngog. Those 6 are complete cack and are quite frankly an embarrassment

The Manager is Poor and the Squad is poor. We really need to face reality ,we are maybe a 6-10 position club and that is huge maybe. If it wasn't for our Mega Stars i would even put us in a lower place.

In terms of Pure quality we have: Reina ,Gerrad and Torres that's it.

Potential Quality : Johnson ,Meireless ,Agger and Cole. Either due to injuries or Mental problems.

Squad players fitting a sub or training position: Soto, Maxi ,Ngog ,Yovanovich.

Extra Baggage/passangers/No longer fit: Aurellio, Skertel ,Carragher ,Kuyt ,Lucas ,Koncheski ,Paulson ,Babel.

A top premiership club can't rely on 3 stars and 4 maybes..We have a weak selection of players which is on top off all mis-managed.

I'm aware it's a harsh judgment but i have no faith in those players after watching them on countless occuasions be it under Rafa or Roy it all comes to lack of speed/Strangth/Talent/Inteliigence.

agree with this except that i would switch Lucas with Jovanovic. and i wouldnt sell Carra so soon. he could be a useful rotation player...though it might be hard as Carra's reputation more or less cements a place in the starting 11 despite the fact that his legs are gone.

Aurelio is constantly injured so why do we keep him?
Cole has shown absolutely nothing for us yet you want to keep him?

Kyrgiakos for all his limitations have been a good player for us, probably our best defender for quite a while now. He should at least be kept on as a squad player. Jovanovic havent been given much chances so I dont know about him.

im just going on ability alone, as in players who have a suitable ability to play for Liverool FC.
