New ceo

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

We don't have a thread for that,

so I'll start one

What I'm hearing that we are expected to announce a new CEO in a weeks time and there 3 shortlisted candidates till now.

The 3 candidates, according to reports are

- Barwick
-Deighton
- Dein

Who would you want as the CEO and why?

IMO, I would take Dein, his work at Arsenal is nothing short but brilliant. The way he set it up and got a manager like Wenger. I know he is an Arsenal fan and all, but Broughton was a Chelsea fan and he was part in kicking tw!t and tw@t off our club. Barwick is a Liverpool fan, but so was Rick Parry and Christian Purslow.

I have no idea Deighton is.. is he the Olympics chairman or something?

yeah he's the CEO of the Olympic committee. personally i don't see why he would give up the Olympic CEO job for this one. he's a former investment banker anyway. we've got enough people on the board who know nothing about football already.

dein would be the ideal guy as he's a football man through and through and also knows his finances. he moved arsenal forward brilliantly i thought with the new stadium and the appointment of wenger who nobody had ever heard of at the time.

barwick is a liverpool supporter through and through but his reputation has been tarnished somwhat by his time at the fa.

it'll be interesting to see what happens. oh and congratulations to martin broughton by the way for being knighted in the new years honours list. we owe that man a lot for what he did.

Agreed st.mick, we don't want someone  who doesn't have experience in football. We need a footballing man who has an excellent career in running a football club. David Dean is the answer right there.
