Do you want to know what in my opinion was the biggest mistake Rafa made at Inter Milan? Trying to convince a team of seasoned campaigners that had just won every trophy available to them that changing their playing style was going to be benifical to them. If he had thought to himself "If it aint broke dont fix it" he could have smoothly guided them through this 1st year and had them there or there abouts at the end of the season. Then he could have went about creating his own side but he wanted to do it his way, which in many ways is commenable and shows how much he believes in his system but a personally I think in doing so he made a huge error. I love the man for all he did here but so many times his stubborness has been a massive albatross around his neck

Not through choice Lad .... if I wanted to drag the man anywhere it would be straight out of Anfield with friction sparks coming from the heels of the shoes he thinks can follow in the footsteps of LEGENDS .... I actually agree what your saying about Benitez though ...but when some posters  decides Benitez should be gauged on his last season with the Reds
Whilst the empty vessel that currently resides takes us to new lows and his held in higher esteem (BY SOME ) than the man who gave us number 5 ...then I think he also should be held accountable for his poor season with the mighty Fulham

This is what you cannot get your head round.
Nobody thinks better of Roy.
If you ask me who is the better manager and who has done more in their respective careers, then it isnt a contest.
That being said i can respect the man who is in charge at the moment until the heopefully inevitable change in the summer.
The only reason alot stick up in any way for Roy is that the people who lambast him so much praise Rafa to the hilt when he started th decline and appears to have moved from one crisis to another.
Neither would be the right man to take us forward but Roy is here for the time being.

He took a treble winning team to currently 7th in their table.  I don't see how that qualifies as good enough to manage LFC.

I don't think it's as black and white nailed on as that.

Aldo has done a complete u-turn lately which is embarrassing. He went from absolute Rafa zealot, to one of those "oh, all of Liverpool's problems of late are all of Rafa's fault" drivel peddling media pundits. He's getting stick because he's turned into Ronnie Whelan et al.

He never was. A very fortuitous CL win in 2005 gave us false hope that we had the right man to win the league.

It also bought him time to waste another five years and millions of pounds on mostly average/poor players.

i havent heard his comments so its difficult to defend or offer an opinion.
What i will say is it is possible for someone over a period of time to form a completely different opinion of someone.
Especially with the speed of our demise in that last season under Rafa.
I feel a lot of our problems now are Rafa's fault through poor management and decision making.
If Aldo (an LFC playing legend) has said something similar and getting a shed load of abuse then it just shows how warped people can be when defending Rafa.
It genuinely is mystifying and its so hard to understand the grip Rafa has over people still  ???

No. It's when someone who was absolutely adamant that the problems Liverpool had last season, and this year, were all down to the owners and their policies. Aldo has now done a complete u-turn of that opinion, and to be frank, he's made himself look like a complete tit for doing it, as is anybody else who thinks all of our current problems are squarely down to the previous manager alone IMO.

nobody i know thinks that ALL of the problems are down to Rafa.
Alot are though. The sale of one of our best players and subsequent signing and then hardly playing of Aquilani are things that Rafa did.
What did Aldo actually say to highlight that he thought ALL of our problems where due to Rafa ?

And even if people believe he is wrong in his thoughts doesnt he deserve a bit better than getting a load of abuse ?
He is a passionate red that was a brilliant player for us, it doesnt mean whatever he says is gospel or that he is right with his thoughts.
I would have thought an ex player deserved a bit better though personally.

yes i have.

And there are plenty that feel Rafa played a huge part in our decline.
I havent seen anyone say that he is the ONLY reason though.
Its typical OTT jumping on people who dare to criticise Rafa.

For what it's worth, I personally wouldn't give Aldo any stick, but I do think he's made a complete tw@t out of himself with recent behaviour and opinions. It shows a complete lack of respect to those that campaigned against the Yank owners to get them gone. It's almost as if he's absolved those two of any guilt whatsoever.
