I would like to see Lucas shine in games where it matters. Not to take from his great performance but Villa were pure $hiite today.

This a joke?  He bossed the midfield against Chelsea when they were about 7 points clear at the top I believe.

Er, Chelsea  ???

I thought all games were important.. Villa were poor, but we helped make them look poor and we wanted it a LOT more

Nice to see us win easy for a change. Great work by the lads for stepping up when the big guns are missing. Lucas, Ngog and Babel nice work.

Lucas was his usual self I thought. He's played like that against some good opposition and got panned for it, or went unnoticed. TBH he'd free reign of the midfield. He was having a ball out there.

Great game, good result, we should be 8th now. We looked very confident and passed very well, Lucas being the main reason of that. Babel and N'Gog and Maxi had a great game and Kuyt should have done better. Again, respect for dawson, really naild this one, you should consider betting mate :).

Yeah you're right there too daws, no matter what the competition is or plays like a good performance is a good performance.  No match is a given no matter who you play.  Every match from now until the end of the season is important.

It was nice to see the ball being played on the floor from the back , through the middle and down the  flanks, not a hoof in sight  :;):

Like Chelsea and Spurs this year?

Can't help thinking that if Liverpool turn over a team it's because of the poor opposition. If the scum or chelski do it it's coz of their amazing teamwork. Am absolutle made up with Lucas. I've got a fellow scouse mate up here in Scootland who has hated Lucas in the past and am glad that the man is making him eat his words. If we'd have had a bit more rub of the green at Sh*te fart lane then we'd have been sitting right behind the spuds. Oh well. YNWA

our next matches are

Newcastle (a)
Fulham (h)
Blackpool (a)
Wolves (h)
Bolton (h)

now, IF (its a big if) we have turned the corner, and the last few matches would suggest so, then i honestly believe we can win ALL of these. If we do that, we'll be in the top 4 before the year is out.

Raul has a bit more elegance than Lucas but for me he's playing second fiddle to the brazilian.  They both compliment each other really well though and seem to have a good feel for where the other is going to be which for me is key in a midfield partnership.  Both get up and down but it never comes at the expense of the other.
