Liverpool Football Club - Games

Ajax to Newcastle go figure that one but thats premiership wages for you I guess. This games like a friendly, we are deservedly ahead after a competent first half but Villa fans must be tearing their hair out as theyve been shocking. Be nice to knock another couple in after the break.

Good half. We moved the ball around, kept it largely on the ground, defended well as a unit (though increasingly deeper as the half went on... I'd like to see us keep the pressure on), scored one good goal and one excellent offside one, and everyone is playing pretty well.

Well done, so far boys. We've got to keep the pressure on, keep looking for goals, things got a little muted all round towards the end of the half.

I'd put that down to the lack of pressure from Villa and not so much the lack of Carra.

Soto doesn't mind a bit of the hoof...

Leave out Steven Gerrard for Lucas or Mereilles ... wo, things are getting weird around here.  I seem to remember an amazing hatrick winning one man show a few weeks ago.  Not to mention a hundred other nights like it.  True, both Lucas and Mereilles are playing very well indeed but find room for our captain please  :D.  Good night so far.  Plenty to build on.

Gerrard can play in that advanced role, providing he stays f*cking advanced and gets off the two other lads toes!

I wonder how much of it is down to the fact that they both speak Portugese? Obviously not the most important factor by any stretch, but it may play a part in their partnership.

Out wide maybe, but in the middle I'd take these two over him any day of the week.  They're far more consistent in the middle imo.  Anyway this second half is a bad sign, we look like we're happy with 2-0 and once again we're sitting far too deep.  This is the most irritating thing ever Roy has to stop this sh!t.
