As for whether or not he's "better" than Roy, it's not really important. What IS important is who stood the best chance of taking the club forward this season, uniting the players etc etc. There's no doubt whatsoever in my mind that for that task, we have the better manager of the two.

I disagree, under Rafa, we would have never been in the relegation zone. Ergo, taking into account teams such as Man City and Spurs have struggled, we would easily be in the top 4 and slugging it out near Arsenal by now...

Note to Benny. Remember when I said if Roy got us fourth posters would say "but Rafa would have got us third"?

Note to Mick. We are now struggling in mid-table mediocrity.

Feck the moral high ground, I hope Inter get stuffed 4-0 and Benitez gets the sack

I might even have a try at some lyrics myself then.

Sing to your hearts content mate. It won't make Hodgsen a better manager but if it makes you happy, sing!

Whether or not Hodgson is the better manager is absolutely irrelevent, that's what you guys just cannot grasp. After six years of a five year plan we are where we are now. It's increasingly looking like we've followed one average manager with an even more average one (I'll grant you that), but what we really need is a GOOD manager, infact things are so bad we might need a fecking brilliant manager. Neither Hodgson nor Benitez are one of those, so we keep looking.

Just so long as Benitez true to form makes a nonsense of it at Inter, it'll keep the great brainwashed at bay for a bit while those charged with finding someone can have a good look.

Last season Inter won the correspondiong fixtures 4-0 and 2-0. In one of those, they only had nine men by the end  should be a walk in the park considering they have all the same players I should think.

It increasingly looks like you are cracking up mate as you are repeating yourself.  :D

It's quite simple really, we needed to replace Rafa with someone as good and we didn't. That's why we find ourselves where we are. Benitez has us organised so well than as soon as he went we pretty much went to pieces in a very similar fashion to how Valencia crumbled after he left.

So your sure this time we need a good manager? What about someone English who can 'steady the ship'?

Good luck for tonight Rafa! YNWA

You're right about it being quite simple really, but unsurprisingly you've still got it wrong :D. We didn't need to replace Rafa with someone as good , we needed to replace him with someone who was better.

No point in coming 7th again and making it four more years before you win a trophy, no point in wondering what it must be like to play at wembley, you might as well bring in a manager who allows us to set our sights higher.

As it is, we've brought someone in who is going to achieve about the same as Benitez did, namely feck all. We need a really good manager, firstly and formostly to sort out the deadwood which litters the playing staff.

  You really make me laugh mick.

So your saying Roy is a better manager than Rafa? Yeah you can really compare winning la liga and the european cup with managing clubs like malmo and :censored: knows what other clubs no ones ever heard of. Crying over here mate.

How do you know Rafa would have come 7th again? Your crystal ball was wrong before when you said things would get better for Roy so what makes you think it would be right again? Give it up Mick. You were wrong about Rafa and you were wrong about Roy.

bav, you aren't half showing yourself up to be a numpty that's incapable of reading and getting the gist of other people's posts. your so keen to get a dig in at mick or at hodgson that your grasping at straws and making yourself look foolish. what's the point? you used to be a decent poster.
