Reina - 8 another competent display ...albeit this time behind a seriously weak defence
Kelly - 5 a touch of naivety that comes with youth ,but still worrying how many times he was beaten by the very impressive Moses
Carragher - 8 star man for me some telling interceptions and getting back to his best
Skrtel - 6 some bad errors of judgement but like Carragher he really had to put a shift in
Konchesky - 3 seriously poor ...I thought he was good against Chelsea ,but his games really do drop to the extreme... abysmal
Kuyt - 7 looked jaded as the hopelessness of another hapless team display dawned on him
Lucas - 7 albeit from his gift to Wigan he was probably just behind Carragher as our best player
Gerrard 6 - Unlucky not to score ,but drops to deep when he is used in midfield prefer Meireles and Lucas
Meireles - 6 he wasn't that good at all was he ....obviously not a winger
Maxi - 6 some nice touches in the first 10 minutes when our play was less rigid then seriously faded
Torres - 7 the lad is clearly not a Kevin Davies type player ..he is a world class forward and not a fucking battering ram

Shelvey (Meireles) - 5
Poulsen (Kuyt) - 5
Eccleston (Maxi) - how poor is our bench ?

Well that is expected if they only have 10 minutes to make an impact. A score of 5 is fair in most cases, it represents a neither good or bad performance. Average.

Remember the score out of 10 is not necessarily to be compared to other players it should be a rating of what is expected from that player for the time he is on. No one expects wonders from a player on for 10 mins, hence a score of 5.

How many subs are expected to outperform the man they replace? If this was the case they would of started.

I'm not casting a slant, just making an observation !
