That's a bold prediction Mick. It almost sounds as if you want to see him slip up. Sad, very sad. You never know in a few weeks Roy could be sacked.  :p

What do you mean "it almost sounds....". I DO hope he fecks it up, I hope he absolutely bombs out and is a disaster.

Not that I give a feck about Rafa and Inter overly, but if he bombs out in his next couple of jobs at least it might mean that whoever is our manager by then gets a fair crack of the whip. The club will never move on while you've still got a section of the fanbase involved in some kind hero worship towards a previous manager. I've said it before, the WORST thing which could happen is if Rafa is as successful there as Mourinho was (thankfully it obviously won't happen). All that would happen then Bav is people like you would NEVER let it go.

The more he bombs out, and the more you lot lose interest in him, the better it is for the club.

You've got it all wrong mate. People are not interested in him because of any success he may or may not have with other clubs. The interest and fondness comes from the success he had with us and how he appreciated the fans and understood them.

The fact that you don't want him to succeed elsewhere just so you can't get barraged with abuse here just goes to show what a sad old git you really are mate. Don't mean to sound rude but that's what it looks like to me. Anyway no chance of that happening because it's HIS players mostly that beat Chelsea today!!!!!!

Fecking hell Bav stop it  Yopur part of the posse who slaughtered Roy for losing his fourth match in charge or whatever the feck it was with a team in NONE OF THE PLAYERS WHO PLAYED WERE HIS PLAYERS .

You and Emerald Red are soooo funny mate. RBFC supporters so much you've forgotten the whole point of it all. You don't sound rude Bav, just funny .

So Inter drew at home to Brescia this week ?

Seems like Rafa's draw trend is continuing in his new job.

Lazio finally had a tough fixture and lost.  But Inter really spunked a great opportunity to close the gap.
Still though, they were 4 points off the top.  Now its only 3.

Inter are worse than last year - no doubt about that. They dont' look like the best team in europe which they were last year.

Inter maybe worse than last season but what you conveniently seem to forget is their rivals are stronger than last year.

They're still well positioned but they'll be a little disappointed with the start they've had. Though they were unlucky to get beat by a late goal at Roma, they shouldn't have dropped points at home to Brescia and Sampdoria, who I suppose are about the equivalent of West Brom and Spurs respectively. For me he has to really win either the league or CL to restore some of his reputation. I hope he does, not because I'm an Inter or RBFC fan, but quite simply because he gave me some of the best nights of my life. I might think differently, but I don't accept the connection that Mick tries to make - that success for Rafa makes it harder for Roy or a future manager to get the backing of our fans. For a start, it doesn't stack up with the "blue sky denial" theory that would lead you to conclude that whatever he does at Inter is an irrelevance - since any failure at Inter would be explained away willy-nilly. If our manager does a good job, whoever he is, then by and large he'll get the backing of the fans.

I wish Rafa all the luck in the world because he is a great manager and deserves it, anyone who says anything different is just being bitter, sarcastic and has feck all else going on in their life as to wish that Rafa fails after the man added a few trophys to our cabinet and made more history for our club.  Gave us the best nights of our life and deserves respect for everything he done for us.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

^^ What she said

Whilst some are more concerned with backing up their own agenda, most wish him nothing but success. It's not enough that those who were critical of him saying Roy could do a better job have eaten 2nd and 3rd helpings of humble pie, they now need to wish Rafa fecks up.

Hows that? season aint over yet, Roy needs to finish better than 7th and not win any cups. He still might pull it off.

no humble pie here.

I knew benitez was going nowhere and was going downhill fast blowing 38m on an injury prone player now out on loan and a krap full back.

Now we have Roy, are getting our form back, just 5 points off CL, and who knows what the future holds.
