Would you be pleased to see him playing up front this season? from what I've seen of the lad he isn't good enough and wastes too many opportunities, we need a striker that has a good goals to shots ratio, I also think that last time I saw Mellor play he needed to lose weight!

he couldn't get in the west ham team ahead of brian deane. does that answer you question?

Crewe, Preston, Stockport etc etc is more at his level IMHO. Probably a smashing lad and all that but Premiership standard? sorry mate but no.

The West Ham fans thought Mellor was a donkey - I know, a friend constantly took the p##s out of me. Charlton fans are doing the same bitching about Danny Murphy.

Mellor will not make the top grade, he could have a honest career at Crewe, Port Vale or Stoke City.
