Why?
Because Rafa had a pop?

In todays modern footbal environment we need a very savvy marketing man - someone like Ayres and we need a savvy finance man. We also need a very sohisticated CEO to represent the club at FIFA, UEFA and FA level. Can one man perform the CEO/Finance role, I dont know.
If CP had a clear job description, sphere of influence and dedicated himself to the club like Smith and Robinson did, then he can stay.
My other condition would be that KK becomes Director of Footbal, responsible for scouting, buying, wages and running the Academy and Reserves. He would appoint managers/staff for each who report to him as would the scouting team.
The football manager would be responsible for moulding the first team squad, tactics and ensuring success on the pitch. Punto. Fitness staff, 'bootroom' would be club employees reporting jointly to the manager and KK. One manager and his assistant. If the manager walks, the Bootroom survives.
Back to basics lads, you look to the past to see the future.
So for me, with a clearly defined senior role and dedicating himself to the club, CP can stay. There is still a big role for him to play.
