yes, we look like we probably are beginning to perform a maneuver that could easily be described as a tailspin. or even a flatspin, a tailslide, a snap turn or an immelman.

anyway, this is all a bit silly isn't it? some people thought differently than some other people and said so and now others think differently than still others and they say so as well. the upshot being that no one can stand each other any more.

funny old world, isn't it.

It seems  there is always time to resurrect old feuds ...eh Andy ?
I mean lets not let such a golden opportunity slip through are grasp .... lets face it there is always time for a flame war with an Ex pat  .....however I will unfortunately have to decline your kind offer at this present time as I am in work early ...

as with the rest of the post it was meant in a jokey, matey, slightly taking the píss kind of way, actually red. was hoping you'd have spotted that.

There is no doubt that their influence over the past 3 years was the primary factor in our demise...IMO anyone that argues with that is not worth talking to.

Yes Rafa lost it at the end and yes he bought some bad players...but he was not solely focused on his job due to in fighting and off field politics...but did he start a tailspin??
No......He failed to get the best from the team last season and in fairness probably over achieved the season before.
The club was rotting from the core, there was no harmony between board and manager.Rafa wanted the best for us,he loved the club and the fans...he did not get it.He got the same as us from his 'bosses' LIES AND DECEPTION!!

So the question is still here...are we in a tailspin??
Personally I think we are in a transitional period. We have been taken close to the gutter of administration and survived..We are feeling embarrassed and humiliated as fans but we need to remember that the club is still a mess and will remain that way until NESV start acting on their words!

The new manager is not helping though. He talked big and has so far failed to implement his words!
TBH his team selections and tactics and his fear anger me!
Roy needs to know that LFC fans will love the manager and every player that wears the shirt as long as they go out and give everything to win..all we want is a will to win and passion on the pitch, just give 100%!No one wants to see a counter attack when only 2 men go forward and the rest stay back on the halfway line incase they counter back...its pathetic!

No we are not in a tailspin...but if Roy does not change his philosophy on what playing football is we will be.....I'll give him to January,I'll nail my flag to the mast on that in fact...won't sit on the fence and will categorically state that I am anti Roy...he is just not the man to bring us back to where we should be..its that simple!

good post mate

And it's a load of balls along with your fence, mast, pro or anti and the rest of your little boxes or pigeonholes you like to categorize people into!

I can't speak for anyone else...it's been a rough time to be a fan of our club over the last few years, anyone would admit that!I'm just so glad that we have got somewhere(ie yanks out)

From where I'm sitting all you have tried to do is split the masses and build boundaries between fellow fans with bike shed politics and big words....imaginary borders and flags to masts...stupid agendas and corrupt board rocking double meaning little nigglers have been plenty.....It really needs to stop!

How can we expect the club that we are to get anywhere when the fans are more worried about being right than what the team does?

Usually when a new manager comes into a club, players normally perk themselves up to impress the boss, however that definately hasn't happened. There does not seem to be any inspiration etc from the manager. The players are not responding to the tactics employed by Roy.

If we don't win the next 3 games then "tailspin", "freefall", "nosedive" it is.  Blackburn will be a tough game.

I thought it was the right time for Benetiz to move on - I rated him as a tactician, a manager and a friend of the fans - I just thought the club needed a fresh start. I wouldn't have ben disappointed had he stayed, but I wasn't disappointed when he went.

I guess I was wrong.

Perhaps 9 is right. The whole club is exhausted. Perhaps it is not Roy, perhaps anyone would have failed. Still, I think he has a matter of games to save his job.

Barry's two posts on the subject are excellent, particularly the first one which is about as good a summary on the new manager as I've read.

As for the pigeon holes, groups and the like, it's not me who's created them (I really haven't got that much power) but it is me who's pointed out that they exist, and they do. I haven't invented any fences or divides, they do exist and denying it is pointless. Other people are just as happy to talk about Roy lovers, Rafa haters and the like as I am to talk about the posse, so despite what some posters would have you believe I'm certainly not the architect of all evil on here. I do agree though 100% and have been saying it for a bit, that it would really be positive for the team and everyone else if the fans could unite behind a manager. It's gone too far down the line I think for that manager to be Roy, and for that reason I think we should get a new one in. Be it Dalglish, Rjiikyard, O'Neill or whoever else it is the fans need to support him 100% from the off.

Hopefully then we can talk about football again. Once again contrary to popular belief, that's what I enjoy doing really and is the reason I come onto the board. Just like yourself Barry and no doubt many others, there have been many times over the last couple of years when I really couldn't be bothered such was the complete lack of football talk.

Anyway, onward and upward hopefully. Lets face it we can't get much lower so the futures got to be a bit positive at least.
