Since this has been the story in all our games this season it looks like its what Roy wants. Longball up to a totally isolated Torres that gets kicked down. He looksoff.
So, no change since Benitez then...
If you cant see the difference you are blind.
main difference is Torres shouldnt be on the pitch, hes awful today, no runing into space, no looking for the ball...
Main difference is that the rest of the team is so far behind he has no support. But yes he isnt doing much.
Yeah...so, no change since Benitez then...
really? that is strange because Torres became the fastest liverpool player to score 50 goals... now he is struggling under Roy... I wonder why...
becasue hes injured?
Injury or not, you have to have the ball at your feet to kick the ball at the net. It took 15 minutes before Torres had a decent touch of the ball. Whenever we collect it from the back, the ball goes square, back, square, back, then hoof and rinse and repeat. Playing with four CM's that don't deviate more than 15 yards from the back four might be - now I'm just guessing here - might be part of the cause for this. Slow build up, and world class overlaps from Konchesky certainly don't contribute either. Result - Torres sits scratching his balls up top on his own.
