EVERTON VS LIVERPOOL - 17 oct 2010, ko: 13:30

Liverpool Football Club - Games

They will try and kick us off the park so we need to keep our discipline whilst putting them on the back foot. Hodgson needs to brave now and let the shackles off this team and the lads need to start putting a shift in themselves to make it work. If we can do that I think we will win the match. I will go 0-2 Liverpool.

Me too. Can't think why as we have stunk the place out, but I really fancy us today. Funnily enough, on the occasions I've seen them this season they've been quite good too, which makes my optimism all the harder to fathom.

Anyway, I'm not going to talk myself out of my confidence, I think we'll win and put in a performance. 3-1 to us.

Poulsen had been set to line up in the centre of midfield, enabling Hodgson to select Steven Gerrard in attack alongside Fernando Torres.

why has poulsen seemingly become this garunteed starter in the centre of midfield? Its really getting to me that we have not and seemingly never will try a gerrard meireles axis. Cole has played the best for us behind the striker, and has looked out of sorts and too narrow when played wide. I really think the manager underestimates the defensive capabilities of both gerrard and meireles because they both clearly have the mindset and passing ability to hold their own. FFS lucas has evenn looked livelier in the centre than poulsen. Team selection so far this season has been :censored: and thats not down to available personnel.
If you can't amaze people with your intelligence, try confusing them with your :censored: :)

If there ever was a good time to turn things around it is now.The dark cloud that has been hanging over the club for years have been lifted just in time for the derby. Roy has been given the perfect opportunity to show he has something to offer this club. I hope he takes it, but i have my doubts.

One thing I'm certain of is that we'll concede. We've been terrible defending all season, and Everton will bomb at us. If Roy sets us out to do his usual containment act, we'll get tanked.
