Yes his tactics are fecking sh!te he hasnt got a clue. Sat in his chair for 80 minutes.

As opposed to jumping up shouting fu'ck knows what and flapping his arms like a loon? And still geting beat?
:talktothehand

why cant you just assess Hodgy rather than have little digs at Rafa?

I dont care about Rafa anymore (I want him to do well) but I'm not going to diss Hodgson based on what the previous manager achieved. If that was the case half the feckers on this board would go through 30 managers the season after Maureen left!

What do you expect mate, he isn't a big club manager and it's starting to show now big time in everything he says let alone the way he sets up the team on the pitch. He is lucky in a way there is so much going on with the ownership situation. Otherwise a few more results like this and he will be under some pressure from the boardroom.

I kinda expected that from the moment Hodgson was appointed as our manager.

ball was in the middle ... our midfielders would look around like stunned mullets, by the time the ball went to the wingers / fullbacks it was too late to stop crosses at times. Pretty disgusting that most of the game Sunderland's opportunities came from passing along the ground at Anfield

edit: on that note, sleep. Time to have a boxload of painkillers and just end it, this is too painful to watch at times

Not especially.  I can only really remember a couple coming in to be honest.  Of course, one of them led to the goal, as Johnson didn't do enough to put Bent off but it was not an aerial bombardment from the flanks.  We had more trouble keeping hold of the ball in the middle of the park.

I'm sure it was ER that said this and he was probably right when he did

At the end of the day the manager is at the top of the system ,so he would bare the responsibility ,but if the players have no heart ,and Anfield with it's fans all over the world don't motivate them ,it would be hard for any manager to succeed. Yes players as Torres and Johnson and Gerrard expect to play for a championship team and the rest our Internationals which play for there countries at the highest level but they should be first and foremost football players which love the game and want to win. Currently they are playing through the motions waiting for some miracle to happen. It Won't and they need to get it in their thick multi million Pounds padded skull. Grow a pair or even one and represent yourselves. If this is somekind of an Italian strike to push the owners out this is a shamefull act indeed. Will sort the owners outside the pitch you have more the reason to make the fans happy on the pitch. Just disgusted at what i'm seeing this past month's.

Ciggy (if shes honest) is always comparing Roy to the previous manager.
Is it a crime to stay in the dugout? Maybe he should come out more to see if it has any effect? She might be right. She might be wrong?

Mate it must have been like winning the lottery for him, nice fat 3 year pay off in the summer if not sooner too.

I just can't understand why some people are so blind to this and are continuing to believe he will come good just so they can com out and say 'I told you so'. Im not worried about Roy though, I really think he will be gone before next season. I am more worried about the ownership situation as if that goes tits up we lose Torres and maybe others.

btw Roy on 5live now talking about the protests. Think he has realised how stupid his comments were the other day now, trying to kiss up to the fans now.

I suppose some positives to take from today are that Tottenham + Arsenal both lost. Everton drew.

We are a bit fortunate that our rivals for 4th place havent had the best starts to the season to be honest, its still all over the place and we are 100% still in with a shout to get 4th.

Maybe she is, maybe she isn't who cares? At the end of the day id be pretty :censored: off too if we pushed out a world class manager only for him to go straight into a top European Club meanwhile we bring in a yes man small club manager who hasn't won fk all let alone spend a sustained amount of time with a big club.

Wouldn't you?
