F'uckin' hell. The youngsters really didn't rise to the occasion. Quite tense following a peno shoot-out with posts!

I felt like that blind dude at the match, and his mate had to tell him what's happening, in the telly add!

It's only the Carling Cup - it's best use is for giving the reserves some competitive match experience, but they f'ucked it up. Expected more form Babel, Lucas, Pacheco etc.

Got to say fair play to them, night of their lives and all that. As for us, the players who played and the management are a disgrace.

When Rafa went and we got a new manager I was happy (I still am in truth) but I resolved to never go down "the sky isn't blue" route. I'm not going to either, that is an awful result. Our trophy winning options are now two instead of three, and I simply cannot get it into my head how we are better off approaching the Sunderland game having "rested" here and got beat, than we would have been had we played a stronger team and won 4-0. It's a nonsense, it was when Rafa did it and it is when Roy does it.

Doesn't matter it's just the league cup. Those players have failed to beat a team in the bottom division - they're clearly not good enough to play for Liverpool.
