BERGKAMP TO HOLLAND
Ajax are hoping that Dennis Bergkamp will retire at the end of this season as, according to the Sunday Mirror, they are keen to instill him as their next manager. The 34-year-old came close to signing for the Dutch giants last year, but having cemented his place in the Arsenal side again this season, he is already talking about playing on for another year.

Sorry bit hungover got this story wrong :p

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Bergampf

Is getting close to the end of his sellby date, his next move will be to a lower level me thinks.

I thought he was done at the elite level five years ago. Since then he has defied critics (apart from myself) to prove he is well and truly world class. Some of his finishing, creativity, and deftness of touch show that he is pure genius. He may very well play on for several more years. Why not?

I agree with yer but can't play all the games now nor does he travel well (won't go on a plane).

Perhaps thats why they are the premiers. He is always fresh and rested for home and away premiership matches. I doubt that the likes of Henry, Reyes, Llungberg, Pires, etc. will not argue a lot about extra game time on away legs for UCL matches. Win/win for Arsenal imo. "Everybody happy at Highbury"
