Reina - 9 - two brilliant saves that kept us in the game nuff said..
Konchesky - 7 - Solid debut, some brilliant crosses and he never put a foot wrong
Carragher - 7 - game reading was excellent again, did well
Skrtel - 6 - a bit dodgy, caught ball watching a couple of times, but he tackled well
Johnson - 5 - one of his worst game in the Liverpool shirt, nothing went for him, dispossessed, didn't go forward too much, caught out of position, need to get his old form back
Maxi - 5 - Absolutely poor, I thought in the second half he picked it up a bit, especially in the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half with his good passing, but went back to being quite.
Lucas - 4 - awful, poor passing, poor positioning, conceding silly freekicks, dispossessed the ball, couldn't give a forward pass (even when he did it ended up with the opposition), has to be dropped
Poulsen - 6 - showed some quality passing in the first half, but he needs to be more assertive. Gone really quite in the 2nd half.
Jovanovic - 6 - Better than Maxi, very determined, runs, tries to link up, plays short passes and one - twos. However, he seems static, runs into players.
Gerrard - 6 - some decent balls, when shifted to center mid he did very well to contain birmingham's midfield and we did play better in the last 15 minutes.
Torres - 5 - starved off service, looked frustrated with the passes he got, showed a bit of rustiness as well (his first touch).
Subs:
Agger - 6 - did well, can't say much, did nothing wrong
Meireles - 6 - changed the game in our favor, good forward passing, he looks very dynamic as well, I hope we see more of him
