THe one on Torres was a clear cut pen though. No doubt, but of course it's not called.

Reina obvious man of the match.  Very dissapointing in my opinion.

But there is no issue. Birmingham was far the better team over 90 min and Reina saved our bacon.

We have been outplayed in every game we have played so far this season in the league.

Agree with that. I'm already resigned to a defeat already, such is the state of our play.

Another thing: get your money on Everton finishing above us in the league.

Anything but that...

At least they have had a poor start to the season which can save us.

Here we go. Everton are going to finish above us, Man Utd are going to humiliate us, we've got no chance of a top four finish etc etc.

Best fans in the land are out in force already and we're only four games in

I never liked Lucas but I thought he played better than poulsen today. Maxi was sh.it but why roy kept him on really puzzled me. We had been playing with virtually the same team since last season with sh.itty result but Roy just repeating the same thing. He needed to be more creative than just to be conservative. Babel and Pacheco would be much better options. Also, peep saved our butt today but our aerial defense and marking were really sh.it. We must address this.

Well what can you say after that - 3rd poor performance in a row . Created no clearcut chances against their four or five , pepe was outstanding , konchesky had a quiet first half but did well in second half , gerrard got involved a bit more in last ten mins , carra was ok but the rest were shocking . When Torres is like that we have no goal threat at all and can't see where he goals are going to come . We didn't lose and got lucky to get a point thanks to Pepe . Overall shocking performance again . Changes needed to be made earlier in the game and were too late just like last season . We need to improve massively or we will get a hiding from the mancs . It's not good enough at the moment . The good news is the teams above aren't moving ahead but I hate seeing us so far down the table but a couple of wins can see us move up quickly but we need them soon .

No chance Emy.....OK we are all dissapointed but everyone knows if Rafa was still the manager you'd be saying we'll be OK!

You should not really let your opinion on the previous manager leaving and the current one being appointed cloud the facts...we were cack last year and we are equally cack this year too!

How about, "didn't play particularly well but was a decent point away from Home at Birmingham".

I don't think we've beat them for about five years so the result was hardly the biggest shock in the World. Considering we carried Lucas and Rodriguez, the other nine did pretty well I thought.

I think we can be yes. It's going to be difficult for Roy obviously as he's been left behind a fair amount of dead wood, but if we find some shape and rhythm and then keep it, we won't be far off. Our principal rivals for fourth are likely to be Man City and Spurs based on what we've seen so far, and neither of them have started with a rattle either.

I did feel Man City would be a lot higher and stronger than they are, and fortunately for us so far they are stuttering a bit. Five points from our first four matches isn't by any means a disaster when you look at our fixtures, and even if we lost next weekend 5 points from Arsenal Home, Birmingham away, Man City away, Man Utd Away and WBA Home wouldn't be an absolute disaster by any means.

I know the "I told you so" club are absolutely itching to get involved, but it's a bit early for that yet. If we lose at Man Utd, we will have at the very least matched what we achieved in the same fixtures last season, so a bit of perspective was always going to be called for.

We can finish top four though, definately.

Stop trying to blame the previous manager . We were dogshIte today and that's the end of it . We got a point ,we move on . Konchesky did very well i was impressed with him . Apart from that we were dog turd . No dressing it up feckin shAbite . No creativity ,no urgency , nothing . Playing two NONE CREATIVE MIDFIELDERS together does not help and giving maxi :censored: doesn't help either .Atleast he can control and pass a ball unlike the other :censored: in the side . Our manager declared that he was very happy with his squad . Well  he wants to start playing his better players then and not play for a feckin draw at BIRMINGHAM AWAY . UTTER :censored: THE LOT OF 'EM

Jeez aren't I glad to stayed up til 3am to watch that ???
The less of Lucas and Maxi we see the better off we'll be. My oh my we need a right mid that can go past defenders, Maxi had a shocker. IMO Ryan Babel is 100% gone this Jan. At least Torres can only get better so that's a positive and Joe will be back next week as well. Konchesky did well and thank the lord for Pepe Reina.

To Be fair for Lucas ,and i have been saying it for a couple of years already ,it is not his fault. At this stage of his career and after countless appearences in the Premier ship each time he plays it is the failure of the Manager. I'm sorry but if Rafa and Hodgson keep and kept insisting on playing him tha is a terrible managerial decision that they can't hide behind.

A manager is judged based on the players he brings ,the players he plays and the tactics he deploys. Hodgson must wake up such performances aren't acceptable anymore ,and yes it is only four games but it is more then 10 with friendlies and Europa and we are yet to see any difference in approach and ability by the players and club.

Did you watch the game ? We were shocking once again - we got bloody lucky to get a point thanks to one player - I'm not interested in what happened previously 5 years - I'm looking at right now and that performance was abysmal .

I'm not trying to "blame" anyone Igor. As I said, I think we've got a decent chance of finishing top four. I'm just saying it won't be easy because we've got the likes of Lucas and Maxi clogging up the gaff.

As far as todays performance is concerned, I didn't think we were THAT bad to be honest. They are a good team, they work hard and I thought it was quite an even match. Last 20 minutes (once Lucas went off) we were much the better team and could have nicked it, but it wasn't to be.
