Not even nearly convincing. How many news providers can you think of that label their stories "Press Report"?

Edit: Heh heh. Sorry mate - would be helpful if you could include links with such things though. It's at http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/mediawatch/drilldown/MW6917041002-1004.htm if anyone wants to see it.

Never mind new players. Lets wee if we can motivate some of those we already have-Harry would make agood start-clever player but no commitment and limited enthusiasm.  Too many new players too quickly will upset the balance of an already confused side, especially in defence    :D

Mista said he wont come doesnt mean he wont come. Owen was supposed to sign a contract over a wknd he now plays in Madrid. Kluivert is the one we missed out on. Youy can talk all you want about motivating the players and getting them playing for the shirt but at the end of the day we have a skeletal squad after all the players leaving over the summer. We have players covering in unfamiliar positions and it would really surprise and shock me if at xmas at we dont at least bring in 3 new faces. What would we do if we had an injury crisis of the magnitude of maures, we would be up turd creek without a paddle.
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.

Sofar Rafa has been full of surprises. With the exception of the much touted Alonso, all of his signings have been something of a surprise to the pundits and so-called insiders (I mean who in all honesty had even heard of the excellent Josemi never mind predicted that we would buy him?). My feeling is that one of the touted trio, Ayala, Mista or Vicente will come, and that he will also bring in a couple of relative unknowns. My hope is that this will include a couple of British players to maintain a balance.
I suspect however that funds are not exactly plentiful, so expect mista on a free, along with a couple of young unknowns for not very much. My three targets, Ledley king, Damien Duff and Jermaine Defoe at a combined 50 mill price-tag are well out of our reach I'm afraid. Maybe better to cheekily enquire about Forssell off Chelsea. Injured I know but I think he's a good player. He's not gonna get a game there and at about 3mill they might be tempted. Don't want to name drop but he often comes in my bar with that Aki Rihalahti bloke who plays for Palace and he's a lovely fella. Totally irrelavent to everything i know but just thought I'd drop it in all the same. BTW Finnan does too and he's a good bloke also. Not good enough though IMHO.  :)

MISTA MAYBE
Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez will be happy to hear that Valencia have given striker Mista one month to accept the four year £800,000-a-season contract on offer to him at the Mestalla - or be ready to move on. Benitez, who has been tracking the Spanish international since he joined the Reds, is desperate to sign him.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
