Just out of curiosity if we win the league would most here prefer a statue of Roy at Anfield or a stand named after him?  :D

Answer my question first  :D

Well generally that's an improvement on our previous managers record. We're usually out of the race by Halloween or Guy forkes.

As we will by the 31st of October & the 5th of November and you can quote me on that.

Lets not get too carried away!

We aren't even half of the season yet and some people on here are either sack Roy camp or in Roy I trust camp. Look, to me he has done the right things, he got some good players that will improve our starting 11 and he is saying the right words in the media. However, he hasn't justified what he has done on the pitch, now that is the most important thing right now. I will support Roy as much as I supported Rafa before, but please lets all be patient and see whats going to happen eh? I'll reserve my judgment until the end of the season, but even if we don't do so well in the league, Roy still deserves time to rebuild his own team, and he has said this before that it will take time on how his team will play to their full potential.

I'm mainly pleased about the players Roy has bought this summer. Compared to this time last year, we have a stronger squad. I remember looking at the subs bench during the first game last season against Tottenham thinking "Is that it?" I knew the season was going to be a struggle when we had the likes of Voronin sitting there, but if you look at out bench now, it's much stronger.

As I've said before, I don't think we'll finish in the top 4 - I predict we'll finish in 5th or 6th. Even that will be an improvement on last season, although I realise expectations have lowered over the past year.

I backed Benitez for his first 5 years (until I saw the bench against Spurs knowing what was to come) and will back Roy for as long, as long as we're going in the right direction. I'm getting ahead of myself, though, so I hope Roy will guide the team to an improved position on last year.

If football was so predictable you wouldnt watch it. Reading Benny's ppost we struggled against a team that chelsea thumped 6 past. If we are to do the same then WBA, Wigan etc shouldnt turn up.

Getting a draw against an under strength Arsenal team? Didnt realise we were full strength for that game. Two new debuts, Torres on Bench, 1 man sent off, keeper making a horrible mistake. I forgot we were so poor. Citeh defeat. Drubbed and we are :censored:. Never mind Mascherano refused to play and all ideas are out the window. A win in Turkey courtesy of our second string against a team that had beat Gala week before. A CL team.

Point is there are very few on here who really post consistently. Its football guys and girls. You cant win every week, and one defaet dont make u the worst team. Spurs outplayed citeh opening week, get beat by wigan at home two weeks later. Go Figure? Citeh beat us and lose at sunderland. Go figure?

We havent had an easy start, again! yet, Chelsea and Scum are looking great right? For me, they've had comfortable starts against easier oppostion. Football aint black and white, and im sure we are going to be in there or thereabouts in the top four at end of season. At least give Roy and the team time to adapt to changes. You cant change mind sets overnight.

I suppose forums like this are the main reason for so much knee jerk reaction.

Agreed mate. Roy has my full support, even though I'm still skeptical about his football style and he does deserve time. However, those that are jerking off at whatever he does, is really what's making the skeptics be more critical about him. On this forum there are two types of people, the extremists and those who are reacting to extremists who become extremists themselves. That's what had happened during Rafa's time and that's what's happening now.

Jesus.....seriously are you a LFC fan or a Benitez fan ? Last season you were all over the place defending all of benitez's shocking decisions....

And now, you are saying getting a draw against arsenal (who have won all their other games this season) ...not forgeting playing with 10 men for the entire 2nd half and all is an awful performance ?

As for the mancity result....when you train for a week with a team in mind....and a classless one trick pony goes on a mutany (and therefore throwing all the carefully planned tactics out the window), what do you think is gonna happen against a stronger man city team (compared to the one last season....which we fail to beat twice under your benitez ?).
