We really need to stop fighting and turn this anger against the cancer.

Why are people slating our previous manager when he wasn't in charge of the team tonight - rafa has gone and isn't to blame for tonight - the set up and formation was wrong end of . Even if you replaced Lucas with Poulsen it wouldn't of made a blind bit of difference - we are not good enough as a squad to compete with the top clubs and that now includes Man City.

I wonder will Andy Gray be sucking Roy's balls after this and still be praising the system, which is quiet literally redundant in the modern game. We got swamped in the midfield from the outset.

We got swamped in midfield because Lucas - Gerrard doesn't work and with Kuyt it really doesn't help! Surprised? do you think we have another fit midfielder at our disposal when we had the :censored: :censored: of a player called mascherano to refuse to play today?! don't you think it affected Roy's game plan? Poulsen isn't fit, Aquilani is off to Juventus.

Mascher wanted to leave last Summer, though.

I wonder who persuaded him to stay?

someone remind he where we finished in the league in Rafa's first season.

Ahhh, but you're forgetting: Roy has loads of Premiership experience and knows what it means to the fans.

Rafa didn't, apparently...  :oh:

i'm confused. You are in the KNOW....you SAID Torres and Gerrard were leaving. Why are they still here?

3 0 looks bad, really bad, but if you look at the stats the game was a lot closer.

We had more shots than them, and surprsingly more shots on target.. I think we where unlucky.

The difference for me was Adam Johnson.. he looked absolute class.  Doesnt Lee J know him.. Im sure he said last year the AJ wanted to join us..  ah well!

We need a good result on Thursday to raise the spirits and then win our next league game.. We are only 2 games in its far too early to be pressing the panic button.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Summary of Hodgson post match interview

-Unlucky to be beaten so heavily

- Played well in spells

- Exploited too much down the left

- City scored at "right" times

- Lacked cutting edge

- Will be working hard to become better team unit.

- Torres back in action before they really wanted him to be.

- Wants Mascherano to stay, will not be selling him for the kind of fee currently on offer

- Will be interested in bringing players in, depending on who is available

Liverpool wanted too much for Gerrard, and few clubs can afford to bid on Torres.
