MANCHESTER CITY VS LIVERPOOL - Mon 23/8/2010 ko 20:00

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby Zidane » Mon Aug 23, 2010 9:37 pm

I'll admit that I'm not overly worried about losing this it is still very early.. But what does worry me is the mindset of the players after losing in this fassion, we desperately needed a good start to the season to shake the cobwebs from last year and this is very hard to take/watch.

I think i wide players really let us down.
We need someone with pace who we can give the ball to who can get past his man, it's all too predictable which mkes it so easy for the opposition to defend.
And lucas really does need to move on he jst can't cut it and he has been given so many chances!!

They were. Apparantly Rafa lost the dressing room and the fan support last season. It looks and sounds it from were I'm sat.

another REAL FAN here...hang on, didn't you say you WOULD GIVE UP SUPPORTING LFC IF ROY WAS MADE MANAGER?   ???

Worst thing is, if A Johnson was snuffed out right from the start, none of this would have happened. Mistakes and idiocy have cost us this game...

I'm WAY too old to get upset about one game.

Its not the point though reg is it? People on here have been telling us Roy is the messiah, breath of fresh air bla bla bla, when the man shouldnt even be our manager, no matter how much we have to spend.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

We can only improve as the season carry's on. Its Roys first away game in the prem against a side worth about 350 Million.

We need to calm down and keep backing the manager

^^What he said!^^

nope. obviously there are those who expect instant results and others whose undying loyalty to the previous manager dying to slate our current manager with their "i told you so" mentality.

its not an I toldyou so menality tho is it? people have been saying from the start that Roy wasn't good enough. I thought Rafa's time was up yes but I personally was hoping for a better manager than Hodgson to come into his place

If you write down the achievements of Rafa and Roy in their whole careers we all know which of the two we'd chose (obviously barring the experience of Rafa's tenure)

My point is that a club like Liverpool deserves a manager with accolades similar to Rafa's i.e. league titles, domestic trophies and a European pedigree
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
