I think its because we've a man short in midfield and are dropping deep and letting them play their football. Need to be winning the abll further up the pitch. Kuyt doesnt work wide right in a 442, Maybe drop him behing torres and give N'Gog a run on the right, need to try something ffs, plan A sure aint working!

We need some possession. We need a midfield who won't get passed off the ball so easily.

Feel sorry for Agger - Johnson knows he owns him.

We are outnumbered in midfield, and Gerrard goes too deep as usual when he is in that position.

Calm down, calm down its opnly the second game of the season FFS.

If u are setup wrong, u are setup wrong. doesnt matter if its the 1st, 2nd or 50th game!

Back to 4-5-1 at half time with Torres to come off. We need to gain some sort of control in the midfield. If we go in just 1 down, then I think we can be grateful for that.

Would take 1-0 at half time tbh.

City have got the possession but not doing a great deal with it now ( apart from Johnson )

If we can get some possession  City aren't that great defensively

notice how fast they are when Ngog got the ball? 3 players closed in on him. they are everywhere really, its as if they have more players. i would have preferred if Poulsen played actually. would've been able to man mark Johnson out of the game like he did with Kaka :D

Gerrard as a credible option in CM is one of those myths in English football. Its nearly a decade since it was supported by any credible evidence...

i hope someone tells Andy Gray to stick his 442 up his jock bum at half time. This is why you dont play 2 up front away against good sides Andy, concede masses of possession
