Liverpool Football Club - Games

Surely he hasn't refused to play? Quite shocked if that's the case especially as he played so well the previous week. Bottom line is the lad cost £16-17 million when the club bought him, he's improved since then so a price in excess of £20 million is perfectly reasonable.

Problem is that Barca are skint and so are Inter so if they don't have the dosh you'll have to stay put Mascher, whether you like it or not.

Im almost certain its cos we rejected a bid for him from Barca.
He might say its because he is injured though.

I can see an ending to this situation that is not very favourable towards us - a player exchange plus a bit of cash or maybe even a loan deal for masher . Its not looking good

If he was injured then the physios would say so - if he has refused its a different story .

I don't like 4-4-2 we don't have the players for it imo, when we went to it against Tranzborpor whatever we looked a lot worse.

Yep exactly - fear we would get overrun in midfield and i cant see Ngog and Torres being a partnership.

im kinda shocked as his display against Arsenal was very professional for someone who wants to leave. its like Jeckyl and Hyde.

It seems that some negotations for masher are happening with Barce and that is a reason why he isnt playing - same with why Aqua didnt play the other week .

Hmmm, I wonder if we might be getting Hleb in a cash + player exchange deal after all? That might go some way to explaining why we've loaned out Aquilani.

Yeah - i think that might be a good deal - Helb was a very tricky player for Arsenal , i remember when we played them in CL and it was impossible to get the ball of him , plus getting a bit of cash would help towards a striker .

As long as the 'bit of cash' is the correct amount for a player of Masch's calibre, that is.  This is the club that paid how much plus Eto'o for that overrated ponce Ibrahimovic?  Surely, they can send Alex over with a hefty suitcase full of coin to get their hands on the best destroyer in the game. :nod

Err, 12 million pounds you mean (15 million Euros)...which is still too low.  Don't know a thing about Caceres but Hleb is surplus to requirements at Barca (according to that article) and thus can't be worth more than 5 million pounds IMO.  I'd hold out for 20 million plus Hleb if we're quoting a 25 million pound pricetag to Inter.
