why has he refused to play ? Because we rejected laughable 12M bid for him ?  :(

But, how is that going to help him get sold? You mean he's just having a huff because he hasn't been sold? Surely nows the time for him to be playing out of his skin, with Barca, Inter and everyone else watching him, rather than being seen as a trouble maker?

It refreshing if you ask me. At least it means we're looking to go there and be positive. Last season we went there with no ambition to win the game whatsoever.

Not good news if masher is refusing to play - extremely disappointing news

DJ Phal from RAWK, who seems to get it right everytime has the same:

Reina
johnson carra skrtel agger
dirk gerrard lucas jovanovic
           Ngog  Torres

Bench:  Babel Aurelio Soto Maxi Poulson pacheco

I'm really not a fan of 4-4-2. It just seems too easy to beat with a 4-5-1, over-run and win the midfield, isolate the strikers, keep possession and it's supermario time....

IF that's true, and as long as he's still a LFC player, Stevie G as Club Captain should kick seven shades of shyte out of him and teach him some respect. Nobody should get away with treating LFC like shyte....

Gonna be hell in my household tonight, my old man is a City fan :D

I seriously think we can win this game, hopefully Torres can start and be somewhere towards fit. I watched them against Spurs and Tiramasu :D and they looked far from convincing title winning material. They haven't gelled at all yet (and who would expect them to in a few weeks?) and I think now is actually the best time to play them, as apposed to a couple of months time.

We'll drub 'em 2-0, Torres getting both. I've already got my bags packed in readiness

Have to say - if that is the team tonight (above), it'll be very interesting for a few reasons.  one is that Agger seems to be in the process of being turned into a left-back, at least for now.  Which i personally think he can do fine.  Lucas might be getting more the chance to attack from midfield, which is well documented to be the way he started out playing before Rafa changed his role - and we have seen him do well from there when given the chance (well, better).  Ngog and Torres up front?  Well, I've always missed the days when we had a more traditional forward pair who are given the chance to gel together and create for each other.  Who's to say that they won't begin to form a great partnership?  Be like the old days - Dalglish & Johnson, Dalglish & Rush anyone??

Yeah, just kidding.  But then again, who ever knows with football?  You've got to give things time to work.  be patient.  It can pay off in the long run and better that than keep shuffling yer deck and coming up short.  Ah feck it - I'm just an optimist this year.  2-1 to us and defo Nando to open his account and get back to his best!  C'mon Redmen.

August 21st -

"I got a feeling he may go 4-4-2, with Gerrard and Mascherano in the middle and Ngog and Torres up front."

Almost!

Very dissapointed to hear the news about Masch, he's definitely a goner now.  Throws away all his professionalism and what not out the window now though eh?  Always thought he was a bit of a :censored: to be honest..
